Another Tuesday Night Lake Trip

Date: May 31st

We've chosen Monday or Tuesday nights as our weekly Lake Trip Day.

We bolt out at 3pm right after work

and stay until sunset.

(yes Idaho folks that means 7:30pm here, not your 10pm stuff!)

The lake is calm, hardly anyone there and just an all around good time!

Memorial Day Water Fun

Date: May 30th

On Memorial Day we decided to head to 

Wet & Wild Waterpark.

It was a usual hot Arizona summer day

and the lakes were over capacity turning people away!!

(In all my years here I have NEVER seen that happen at Lake Pleasant!)

So we knew to avoid that mess and went to the Wet & Wild instead!

It was a long fun day.

Long as in chasing Laiklyn and not being able to go on many rides.

However I did suck in my belly and pretended I wasn't prego

so I could go on a couple of the "scary" slides with the kiddos!

Why do I always manage to be prego in the summer?!! 

Oh well! What's the loss of one more summer of extreme sports! lol

The rest of the evening we lounged at home,

Ryan took this lovely picture of Laiklyn before bedtime.

Hhmm it really was a long day! lol

Even our diapers were tired and falling off! ha

1st Day of Summer Break

Date: May 27th

We had a few neighborhood kids over

and played and played and played.

After about our 15th time in the water

we chilled out for snacks.

It was only 11am.

This is going to be a LOOOOONG summer! lol

No Taylee isn't part amphibian!

She just can't keep her fruit by the foot in her mouth! lol

Here's to 9 weeks and 6 more days of entertaining these rugrats!!

Last Day of School!

Date: May 26th

The much anticipated day was finally here!!!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

My 2nd Grade Cutie!

And then there's my 3rd Grader

who's been begging me to cut his hair as a full mohawk.

Since it was finally long enough in the back

he decided to emphasize it with some subtle coloring. 

And then they were off to school for one last half day!!

While they were giddy and cheering,

I on the other hand found it bittersweet and was in a bit of a panic.

Now comes the 10 long weeks of keeping these kids entertained

when it's TOO HOT to play outside!

Water here we come!!!

While the kids were at school,
Laiklyn and I ran and got their traditional balloons/candy for the kids
and then did our best to keep cool until school got out.

Little stinker is strong enough to open/close the huge sliding glass door!
Oh and knows how to lock me out as well!

 

 

Her life really is so rough! lol

Finally it was time to walk and get the kids

while seeing if Laiklyn managed to pop the balloons before we got there!

Happy Last Day of School!!

Father Son Campout

Date: May 20-21st

On Friday night was the church

Father Son Campout!

Both Anden and Ryan were thoroughly excited about this one!

They even invited Poppy to join along with them.

They loaded up half the garage, took Anden and Owen out of school early

and headed up to the cool pines of Northern Arizona.

Not sure what type of hot dog creation this is.

But they were proud of it enough to take a pic of it! lol

And while the boys were away

the girls played!

Taylee picked rice tacos for dinner.

So off to Chipotle we went!

Laiklyn was wearing out so we decided to skip Music in May at the park

and go home and play games instead.

Then Taylee was more than thrilled to have a slumber party with me in my bed!

The next morning I loaded up the girls and went to Taylee's final soccer game!

By the time we got home the boys were also home.

You could smell them as soon as we opened the front door! lol

Dirty, Sweaty, Stinky.

It had been abnormally windy, 

like insane windy,

like when Ryan got out of the tent this morning it blew away

with Anden still in it!! hahahaha

Needless to say they didn't get much sleep.

I sent them both to the shower

and then they both passed out asleep.

Anden swore he wasn't tired.

Ummm sure!

Then apparently Ryan barely made it out of the shower before he passed out!

So it was a quick nap before we all rushed to Anden's Football Tournament

for the rest of the afternoon/evening!
