Petey?

Yesterday afternoon I walked outside to see Anden

on the back patio

delicately holding, caressing and petting this

As I was opening my lungs to let out a scream,

I overhear

"Taylee, you want to pet him?  Careful, he's sleeping."

In the middle of me yelling "DROP THAT THING!",

I just started laughing.

And laughing.

All I could picture was "Dumb & Dumber"

"Pretty Bird, Pretty Bird"

"I just thought he was really quiet."

Swimming Lessons

Anden is officially a swimming student!

Somehow I've put him in every other sport

but have always been too busy for swimming lessons.

Ya, I know, I know.

Swimming is a more important skill than soccer!

But since we're at the pool every day,

he's a great little swimmer on his own.

But I knew it was necessary to build on those "homemade" skills.

So I FINALLY registered him.

He LOVED his first day!

Jealous Little Sister

for 2 weeks!

And then it will finally be the Jealous Little Sister's turn! 

Vegas Visitors

Lyndsay and Aaron came to visit us this past weekend!

Which meant so did their Rescue Shelter Zoo.

Banjo and Rocky,

and their individual pet mansions,

came along for the thrill.

I still crack up laughing about those random pets!

But the kids LOVE them!

We had so much fun!

We ventured to the lake!

Right when I was almost ready to jump in for a swim with the kids,

this beast casually swam by.

I jumped right back in the boat instead.

While Taylee shrieked "EEWWH DISGUSTING!"

Anden's always the bravest in the boat.

So he quickly laid dibs on skiing first.

I had Aaron jump in the water to help remind him how.

This was his first attempt this year.

Apparently someone should have helped remind me of a few things too.

Once we figured out how to properly tie the rope TO the boat,

Anden was up and skiing like a pro!

The kids loving Aunt Wynzee on the drive home!

We love it when the Gravens come to visit!

I LOVE taking pictures.

The kids HATE being in them.

Miraculously,

I somehow managed to steal a few good ones!

It was War!

I felt I deserved a purple heart medal afterwards.

He was beyond miserable that the water park had to wait a whole 20 mins

until the photo session was done.

Little did he realize if he would have just cooperated

we could have been done in 5 mins.

So here's Anden at his finest! :-)
