Girls Night

Date: Jan 24th

Who says boys get to have all the sporting fun?!

Taylee and I had a little Girls Night at the Suns game!
And not just normal seats for us girls,
we sat in a fancy suite that Ryan's company owns.

Taylee's such a sweet daughter and big sister!
She's so mature, responsible and helpful with her little sisters!
So she deserved a night with just Mommy!

We had so much fun!!
We even got some one on one with the Gorilla himself!!
(yes we literally did sprint down the suite hallway to catch him!! haha)

I loved spending time with just my big girl!
Life has been so crazy adjusting to 4 kids
that I'm grateful for the little one on one dates I get with each kiddo!

Rain, Rain and more Rain

Date: Jan 20-21st

For us in the desert a winter storm consists of RAIN rather than snow!
And we sure have had our fair share of rain!
I love it!
I would love snow more.
But hey at least this stuff doesn't stick on the ground for 6 months! ;)

The next day it rained all day too.
But of course that can't keep us inside!

Baby's got Style

Date: Jan 18th
(12 weeks old)

I like to start my children young as
Fashion Divas!

These bow mocs are so dang cute!
I pretty much bought them in every color! :)

But she's still just as cute when I switch her into basic jammies!

We sure do love this little munchkin!

Lollipop Lover

Date: Jan 18th

I busted Laiklyn unloading her backpack.
She had found the stash of bribery lollipops.

Why eat one when you can have a trifecta of flavors?!

And now that I look at these pics I also noticed she has a fourth one in her hand too! lol

Flag Football Kick Off

Date: Jan 14th

And another season of Flag Football is under way!

This season they had a cool Opening Ceremony kick off before the first game.
Free pancake breakfast, bounce houses, the works!

It was an extremely cold, cloudy, rainy January morning!
But we braved the weather and had a fun time.

Introducing the teams!
Anden in the front and Ryan in the rear

All the teams

The frozen girlies

The football star!

Their game was later that afternoon.
Anden did great!
We ended up losing a close one.
But we have an awesome team this season and should do well!!

Potty Training

Date: Jan 9th
There's two words that I
hide from
despise
and
give me anxiety

Potty Training!

But once again here we go!
I had a week left before I was to return to work.
So I figured I better hurry and cram it in!

Laiklyn's been ready for a long time now.
I just wasn't.
This is harder for the parents than the child! ha

So I let her pick out a new little potty and away we went.

Of course potty training is always easier with a friend!
Girls going to the bathroom in groups starts young! haha

Laiklyn is so strong willed that we knew this would either be a piece of cake
or extremely hard!! lol
But she's doing awesome!!
Ahh she really is a big girl now!

that rides a big girl bike to get the mail!

Move over Strider bike we've got a new bike in town!
This kid is crazy coordinated!

And yes this beautiful Arizona winter weather is amazing!
I guess we did miss it (and flip flops!) while freezing in Idaho!

Idaho Winter Trip - Jan 1st

Date: Jan 1st

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

First item of the Year....breakfast and games at Grandma Norma's!

Earlier this week while we were already in Idaho
we came up with the idea to just do Eastlie's baby blessing there!
We asked the family what they thought and they all agreed it was a great idea!
That way we could share the special day with so many people!!
Luckily we had thrown in a few church appropriate articles of clothing!
Then my sis in law Melanie came to the rescue again by letting us borrow
her baby blessing dress that every Furniss baby girl has worn!!
So we called and got approval from our bishop and Dad's bishop.
Then Dad hurried and ordered food for the luncheon.
And just like that we were ready to go!

It was such an amazing day to have so many of my family members together
at my childhood church to support and honor my family and our little baby Eastlie.
I was truly humbled to be part of such a great group of people!

It was such a beautiful winter day and fabulous way to kick off the new year!

After church we headed over to Grandma Norma's for a luncheon.
To really top off an already great day,
my fave cousin Lacie and her fam were there!!!!
I seriously was so happy to see them!
They were on their way back from Island Park to Utah
and stopped in to hang out!

Lyndsay, Lacie and I couldn't stop the jokes after seeing this picture.
Who's the super model in the background waving her mane of hair?! lol

We had so much fun chatting and laughing and just enjoying each other's company!
Then it was back to Dad's house to get packed up to head back to Arizona.
But not without a few pictures of the celebrity baby!
She's such a doll!

Now normally I would have had picture perfect photo session done
with Eastlie on her big day.
But instead we're standing in a construction zone house
with all sorts of tarps in the background! lol
I could have easily edited those out
but it just adds to the whole story! haha

We all hung out at Dad's house for another couple of hours
then sadly it was time to load up for the trek home.
It had been such a great day and a great trip that I didn't want it to end.
Luke and his family left first for Idaho Falls
and we left soon after too.

On the road again...for another 12-14 hour night time drive!

Ryan was thrilled when I asked for a festive pic!
lol cmon it's still New Years Day! ;)

Thanks for all the great memories Idaho!
And then like clockwork we all spent the entire next week totally sick.
Um no thanks for that annual gift Mr. Idaho.
We must be crazy that we do this to ourselves each year! ;)
