New Year's Eve

We were all so sad when we left Idaho,
that I told Lyndsay we would come to Vegas for New Years.
Our Idaho schedules only overlapped 2 days
so we felt we hardly even got to play together.

Well when the time came to actually load up and haul the kids there.
I decided I better not run the little ones ragged.
They had been all over in the last 3 wks!
So we finally decided to have a nice little party at home instead.
And promised we would make the Vegas trip soon!

So for New Year's Eve day,
we headed to
The kids were BEYOND excited!
(and i was beyond excited I got a groupon deal so it was affordable!)

Yes I'm a smart mom that specifically did Taylee's hair in sassy buns.
That way she appeared taller than she was.
It worked too!
She got onto every ride!

Anden clearly wasn't thrilled about the Carousel.
But hey we're a family and we stick together.
It was obviously Taylee's ride choice that time! lol

The place had hardly anyone there that day.
So there were no lines or waits!
We would go on a ride then not even get off and just go again!

Ryan joined us later in the day after he got off work.
That's when the real rides began since 2 adults were required!
Taylee was a rock star and loved all the scary rides.
Yes, Desert Storm as well.
Yes, that's the roller coaster that has 2 upside down loops!
Yes, she begged to go on it 5 times in a row without a break!

We stayed until dark.
We were freezing but were having so much fun!

There was only one ride all day that Anden got turned away from.
They finally noticed he was just shorter than 48 inches.
I was secretly happy.
As this one drops you from like 100 ft in the air!
So Ryan went alone! lol

Finally at 6:30pm we decided to head out.
We had our own little party at home to attend.
So we rushed home and I hurried and threw the festivities together!

After our Mashed Potato Martini Bar,
we headed outside for the real fun!

Silly String, Poppers, Sparklers!
One Rule: Don't spray/throw/poke anything at each others' faces!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Yes we rang in 2013
at 8:30pm!

Kids were crashed out in bed by 8:45pm.
Adults were passed out on couch by 10pm.
We are quite the party animals!

Flagstaff

Every day in Idaho we anxiously awaited the snowfall,
regardless of all our prayers and wishes
Mother Nature just didn't comply.
Well as luck would have it,
it began snowing the day we left
and didn't stop for a week!
Envious
is an understatement!

Well luckily that same cold front hit Arizona.
The mountains were covered in snow!

So we headed up to Flagstaff to enjoy the white stuff!
Ryan's family had already been there a couple of days.
So we met up with them for a day filled of sledding & laughter!

As the elevation increases the snow appears!

Downtown Flag
There wasn't much snow in town.
So I was a tad worried what Wing Mountain would look like!

Ryan lasted about 2 mins before he had to jump out and throw a snowball

We finally made it to Wing Mountain
and yes my fears were erased.
There was plenty of snow!

Taylee & Heidi

Ryan & his Dad

Anden & Taylor

Ready, Set...

GO!
(no i'm not slowly us down, i'm guiding us away from smacking other kids!)

Suckered into dragging him back up the hill!

Taylor going down backwards.
Ya we all know how that ends!

Anden trying out the snowskate.
He did awesome!
I'm surprised each time how coordinated he is.
But I really should just expect it by now.
He conquers everything he attempts!

We had such a fun day on the hill!
Nobody even managed to get ran over
or demolished by all the psychotic sledders!
