Reconnections

Date: February 22nd

Growing up I didn't have the chance to spend as much time

with my Hunsaker side of the family

as I did with the Furniss side of the family.

I have always felt a longing to know that side better.

Well wouldn't you know it

there are several of my Hunsaker relatives that now live in the Valley!

Aunt Lynn & Uncle Tom rounded up me and my cousin Brad

for a Sunday Family Dinner!

We had so much fun chatting, laughing and just catching up!

My other cousins Suzi and Beau and their families were

sick and couldn't make it.

So that means we'll have to just do this again soon!

President's Day

Date: February 16th

We played and played and played

on President's Day!

Since the kids were off school,

I stayed home too!

Bedhead Competition

We spent the morning shooting hoops on the trampoline.

Bring on the WEDGIES!

(Don't ask me why both kids chose to wear their

Christmas Jammies from 2 years ago. lol)

Ryan got home early and we all went to lunch 

and to run errands!

We went to Roberto's for lunch

but somehow we got talked into Taylee having Subway

and Anden having Jack in the Box.

Hey at least we still managed to all eat together! lol

We love extra days off school/work!!

Laiklyn 6 Months Update

Date: February 12th

She's SIX months old!!

That means she's halfway to her first birthday!

Stop growing up little one!

We are having SO much fun with her.

She's at a super cute chubby stage

and is full of personality and curiosity!

Ok Mom that's enough!

Here's a couple more highlights that I just have to laugh about...

1) She's the wiggliest nonstop moving baby ever
however she refuses to roll over.
I really think she'll crawl before she simply rolls over!

2) She grabs and holds anything in sight.
She can transfer objects from hand to hand,
pinch and pick up objects, throw and re-pick up objects.
She does it all.
Oh wait except she refuses to hold her own bottle!!
She just stares at it and begs us to feed her instead
while keeping her arms magically still by her sides.

So do you think this little one has already figured out how
to wrap us around her finger?!

Those Lashes

Laiklyn's eyelashes are to die for!

All my kiddos have amazing long lashes

but my little brunette beauty's are unreal!

I couldn't resist snapping a pic while she was drinking her bottle!

(which I'm sure she's just laughing at how ridiculous I looked! lol)

Valentine's Day

Date: February 14th

The first thing we did was run to our Love Boxes

to check for the final gift.

Everybody got all sorts of treats and trinkets!

Then I whipped up some Heart Pancakes for breakfast!

Then we lounged and played at home most of the day!

We used and abused the trampoline and uno attack.

We did stop to make heart pasta (supplied by Grandma Furniss) for lunch!

And yes all 3 kids are still in their jammies at noon!

And if you look really close...

Laiklyn has chompers!!

Her two bottom teeth popped through last weekend.

She hasn't let us near them until now though.

Let's just say it has been a very dramatic and painful process for all!

And other one because those big dark brown/green/blue/gray eyes kill me!

The weather was perfect.

So we just played outside all day!

Late that afternoon we loaded up and headed to Anden's

first spring baseball practice.

Don't worry I made more Minecraft Valentine's for 

the Coaches to give to the kids

It was more of a 

"Sorry your Mom doesn't get a Valentine Date since you're here with us instead"

peace offering.

Then it was off for a romantic Valentine's dinner...

ya with these crazy kiddos!

Finally Dairy Queen drive thru for dessert

and home to bed!

But wait the fun doesn't stop there.

The kiddos talked us into a family sleepover in our bedroom.

Guess this is a holiday about love and NO romance! lol

Park Date

Date: February 8th

Laiklyn and I had a little 

Park Date on Sunday afternoon.

The weather was too gorgeous to stay inside

and she just loves being outside.

Testing out the swings!

They were a hit!

Then we happily walked back on home.

while she contently played with the 627 items in her stroller! :)
