Lake

Seeing as it was still 108 degrees,
we headed to the lake yesterday!

Such a F.U.N. trip!

Maybe that's because I finally got to wakeboard!

Or maybe because Jeremy wakeboarded blind!
(unfortunate death to his contacts that morning, slipped down the sink drain)

Or maybe because this little stud muffin tore it up!

Or maybe because Ashley caught a little something in the background!

Ya, I can no longer sit or lay down due to bruising.
But, (no pun intended)
it was TOTALLY worth it!

Healthy Kids

Yesterday we had the kid's yearly doctor check ups.
Anden passed the shapes/eye exam with flying colors.
Taylee just wanted the cool monkey glasses.

Then we sat perfectly still and angelically read books while we waited.

Oh wait, that was in my dream!

Instead, we tore apart the room (and the books!)
while waiting for the doctor.

Then the shots came.

Taylee got one shot and a flu mist.
And no, contrary to what she has told everyone,
she didn't get a shot in her nose.
That was the flu mist.

Then it was Anden's turn.
The poor kid got FIVE shots
and a flu mist.

He was so brave.
I tried to be also.
We both let whimpers and tears slip out.

But it paid off!
When he walked out with a new bouncy ball
and TWO stickers!

Taylee was miffed she only got one sticker.
Small price to pay.

They both did awesome!
So we headed out for ice cream cones!

And because I like stats...

Anden Height: 41" (62%)
Anden Weight 35.2 lbs (38%)

Taylee Height: 35" (80%)
Taylee Weight: 25.6 lbs (32%)

Sunday Afternoon Ride

We decided to go for a little Sunday afternoon ride.
Well our type of Sunday afternoon ride.
(and we tried to overlook that it was 105 degrees still)

Taylee was BEYOND beaming that she got to ride one of the mini mobiles

The kids looked so cool cruising through the community.

However the parents sitting behind them,
didn't look quite so cool
hunched over on the mini mobiles!

To My Sweet Girl

Dear Taylee -

You have added SO much to our family! I can't even imagine life without you. I hope you have the happiest birthday (week!) ever! Here's a few of my favorite things about you...
  • I love your giggles. You are seriously the happiest giggly kid ever. It's contagious! Everyone in the room feels your bubbly spirit and can't help but be brought to giggles also!
  • I love your super animation. Everything you say or do is so heartfelt. Your face and body bursts with excitement and energy. You have about 1000 different looks and I love each one of them!
  • I love your humor. Yes at your age, you already are so funny! I especially love when you're doing something silly and your older brother notices and wants to copy you. You're already a leader!
  • I love your sensitivity. You're such a "girl"; so emotional, so sweet, so caring, so sensitive. You're very concerned about others and constantly ask me with that sweet voice, head titled to the side, and arms in the air "What happened? Why?"
  • And in complete contradiction to the previous bullet, I love your tom boy style! You can definitely keep up with the boys (with just a few more "owies")! I love that you are also fearless and want to try anything your brother does. It cracks me up when you ask me often "Where's my boys?" or when you leaned over the bench in church to the family of boys behind us and said "Hello Boys!"
  • Most of all, I love that you love me. It melts my heart each time you say "Wuv You Mommy!"

Happy 2nd Birthday Taylee!
We love you immensely!

Taylee's Birthday!

September 20, 2010:

Taylee turned the big TWO!
We packed as much as we could
into her special day!

Early Morning Party!

Mid Morning Party!
(at the sitter's house)

Afternoon Party!
The Play Fort

I'm clearly not as graceful on the slides as the kids!

This was our first time to The Play Fort.
We had a blast!
However I thought it was a bit too much decorated
in the tree house/fort style.
For instance, the fake leaves poking out the equipment.

Then when we were ready to leave.
I glanced over and saw a whole new side to the Owner.
Don't mess with the love of trees!

Somehow her leg artwork made the whole
"sewing machine at the front counter thing"
seem normal.

Evening Party!

Night Night Princess!
What a FUN day!
