Farm Field Trip

Date: October 30th

The First Graders went on their
Tolmachoff Farms
field trip this week!

I hadn't planned on going since I went last year.
But Taylee begged at the last minute.
So Laiklyn and I joined in the chaos fun!

This year was completely different experience from last year.
Mainly that I was pushing a stroller, holding a baby, trying to take pictures
and having a baby sling wrapped around my chest with no baby in it.
"Slow and steady wins the race"
has become my motto lately! lol

Just another day on the Farm!

Pumpkin Carving Party

Date: October 28th

We had our annual little Pumpkin Carving Party
on Tuesday night.
I have to admit we have become MUCH more efficient
at actually getting the pumpkins carved
while still eating and socializing!

Gutting the Pumpkins!
Always a love hate situation!

Cash and Laiklyn were immune from the gutting process and watched instead!

Picking the designs
and the real carving begins!

Usually I leave the carving to Ryan (which he hates but is a good sport)
while I clean up, host and referee kids.
But I did use my skills this year to carve Laiklyn a pumpkin.
The girls were in love with it! :)

The Finished Products!
Grace's Cat
Crew's Skull
Taylee's Owl
Laiklyn's Baby
Anden's Grim Reaper

You might need sunglasses to shield your retina from burning
while looking at the beaming owl!

Group Shot!
(minus Lil L who passed out!)

Now everyone give a scary face....

I guess Taylee really just can't break away from her modeling poses! lol

Baseball

Date: October 28th

The Fall Ball Season has officially kicked off
We are the Red Sox!

Ryan and GJ (Tracy's hubby) are the coaches.
So it's been a fun adventure thus far!

In Game 1, Anden hit 3 for 3
and they won 6-2!

Not a bad start!!

Here's to Baseball 3 times a week for the next 3 months!

Primary Program 2014

Date: October 26th

Primary Program Sunday
is one of my all time faves of the year!

The 3-11 yr olds put on the entire meeting.
Lots of singing, one liners and giggles!
Yet somehow it's also one of the most spiritually touching
Sundays of the year as well!

We had front row view.
Like in your face view.
One of the perks of being a Primary teacher
and sitting by your class during the programs!

Even though I've heard the kids practice these songs all year long.
I still shed some tears when I hear them
so innocently singing from the top of their lungs.

This song has been my favorite all year.
Not only is it such a cute tune and great message
but the kids sing the chorus with so much spirit and strength
that it just gets me each time!
