Kindergarten Round Up

Date: Jan 31st

Laiklyn had her big
Kindergarten Registration Night!

I seriously can't believe she'll be in school all day every day very soon!
Where did the time go?!

Eastlie wanted to crash the photo op

I told them to smile AND look at me.
They instantly both started their usual "lean" poses.

Hhmmm maybe they actually are sisters after all?!
We finally found one thing similar between them! hahaha

Soon after that Eastlie had a potty accident of #1 and #2....on Ryan's watch!
I was in the office filling out the paperwork.
The principal radio'ed down to the office to send me back to the classroom ASAP
as my husband and little one were in the classroom bathroom and needed reinforcements! HAHA
I seriously just took my sweet time walking back. lol
I did for the record highly suggest that Ryan and Eastlie stay home
as it was her 1st day of Potty Training.
Maybe Momma does know a thing or two?! haha

But hey we definitely made an awesome 1st impression on the Kinder staff! lol
I'm sure they'll remember Laiky when school starts!

The Dreaded Potty Training

Date: Jan 31st

It's D-Day
or more like Pee-Day!

The Potty Training has officially commenced.
And oh how I loathe potty training!
It literally makes me want to curl up in a ball and rock in a corner
 just thinking about it.

Eastlie has been ready and wanting to be potty trained for months now.
I however did not want to be on lock down for a week
monitoring her every move and gesture
while cleaning up potty messes.

Each time I thought I would tackle this
we had another vacation coming up soon.
Can't quite start potty training and then travel.
Not the easiest option!

So I finally promised myself I would attempt the
FOURTH AND FINAL ROUND
of Potty Training madness
once we got back from our cruise!

Jan 31 - Day 1

She's all ready to go.

Lipstick - check
High heels - check
Potty Friend - check

LOL girls are girls from the minute they're born!!

She did really well!!
Except for not wanting to keep her panties on.
She's a free spirit!
And I was her little stalker never 5 feet away from her alllllll day long!

Luckily it was a beautiful day outside.
Phew I would rather a pee accident out there than inside the house!

Lots of success!
Good job Easy!

Eastlie was a champ and caught right on.
By Day 3 she had it conquered!
Maybe she finally just wanted her freedom from me and my stopwatch
dragging her to the potty every 15 mins ALLLLLL day long! lol

The Baby Bunny

Date: Jan 28th

Monday night Ryan found a baby bunny that the neighbor dog had tried to eat.
He decided we were going to heal it.
The kids were all smitten immediately.
Ryan put it in a tupperware and got it water.
Laiklyn brought it a full size carrot.
Um thanks honey let's cut that up a bit.

The little guy was SO scared and shaking.
After a bit he calmed down and was just chillin' in there.
So Ryan left it on the counter and we were out back playing soccer with the kids.
Later they came in to check on him....
and YEP he was gone.
Just what I wanted.
A baby bunny as my new roommate!!!
(for the record I told Ryan I'm pretty sure that thing could hop out of that tupperware! lol)
So we all divided up and started to scour the kitchen.
Finally Anden found the runaway.
It was hiding on the counter behind the candy jars.
Clearly he didn't realize how much we eat candy.
Poor choice of a place to hide! haha
He should have hid in the healthy food drawer.
We wouldn't have found him for weeks! lol jk

So we decided he should probably be released outside in the backyard.
The kids gave him a good bye mauling.
That pretty much solidified that he would never return.

Then Ryan used a scrap of the turf leftovers and made the bunny
a barricade/home for the night.
He thought it would help protect him since he was still a bit injured.
I on the however kindly informed him it would probably end up
killing him from plastic poisoning
as the bunny would mistakenly think scored a feast in a lush grassy fort...
only to realize after ingestion that something wasn't as it seemed.

Me and My Sidekick

Date: Jan 28th

I sure do love my little sidekick!
She gives me a run for my money EVERY.SINGLE.DAY!
She can be so mischievous and throw some terrible two tantrums,
but she's so freaking cute and sweet also!

Once we got all the kids to school on Monday
her and I went and played played played.
It was our one and one catch up time from me being gone for a week!

Oh Eastlie Bug how I adore you!

Back to Reality

Date: Jan 26th

No more sleeping in and doing whatever WE want.
It was right back to the busy sports schedules
as soon as we got home from our vacation!
I actually was in denial that we would have a busy weekend.
I didn't even check the sports schedules until the day before we came home.
Oh yep soccer and basketball games!
And of course soccer was at the crack of dawn an hour away in East Mesa!
But it was fun to be back in our groove cheering on our cute kiddos!

Never a dull (or quiet) moment with this crew of mine!

Florida back to Arizona

Date: Jan 25th
Location: Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Phoenix

We woke up and were back in Miami!
We all met for breakfast on the ship
and then debarked.
A van was waiting for us to take us back to Fort Lauderdale Airport.
We checked in our bags early
and then had a few hours to kill.
Some went to a movie,
the rest of us took an Uber to the beach and wandered around.

We found this cute restaurant on the pier
of a fairly undeveloped beach.
Rare to see that in a big city!

Such yummy food!

After we ate lunch we wandered along the beach

This beach was so unique!
It was like the treasure dump of the ocean!
I've never seen so much fresh wet coral, shells, sea plants, etc on the beach!

Huge mounds of seashells just washed up together!!

Yes even remnants of sea creatures too!!

So we stuck one in Mike's backpack without him knowing! lol

Walking to the main road to catch an Uber back to the airport.
I just love how lush and green it is here!

Eventually we loaded onto the plane and took off.
Goodbye Florida!!

Now on to Altanta for a pit stop...
then finally to Phoenix!
We landed about 8pm
and cruised on back to Anthem to see our kiddos!!!
What a super fun and relaxing trip!!

We sure do miss our kids when we travel without them.
But oh how wonderful (and necessary!)  it is for us to have us time alone!
Now back to reality of kids pecking us to death! lol
