Yet another Lake Trip

Date: July 21st

Monday afternoon we decided to do a last minute lake trip.
I figure my lake days are quickly coming to an end
so I better take any chance I can!

This time both kids brought a friend!
Sophia and Noah

The kids all had such a BLAST!
Anden & Taylee were more than excited to teach their friends
how to wakeboard, kneeboard, tube, etc!

Anden somehow always wins at going first.
So he chose to wakeboard.

His fan club cheering him on!

The rest of the crew kneeboarded.
Taylee demonstrated how to do it.
Then Sophie and Noah went next.

I forgot my big camera that day so only a few phone pics turned out! :(
But we did send videos to Tracy and GJ that their kids are now pros! :)

Then we blew up the tube and the real crazy fun began!
I'm always amazed how hyper kids become when their friends are with them!
Needless to say there were some dare devil antics on that tube.

As we were pulling the kids back to the dock to load up before sunset,
I had warned them several times that we were almost out of gas
and to stop just randomly jumping out of the tube each at different times.
Well we had just entered the no wake zone by the dock
when Taylee bailed out of the tube
then of course 10 ft later Anden does.
So there we sat in neutral and idled as the kids swam back to the tube.
And there we ran completely out of gas
with the dock 30 ft away!!!!!
Ok we've NEVER ran out of gas and now twice in one summer?!
So a nice boat towed us all back in
as I scolded my children for doing exactly what I told them not to.

We tied up to the dock as Ryan went to get the car/trailer
and then I proceeded to spend the next 10 mins waiting for him
being the mighty pregnant Bee Swatter Ninja
protecting myself and the 4 screaming children behind me
from the swarm of bees that had somehow taken over the dock.
My weapon of choice was Ryan's baseball hat!
I can only imagine we were quite the sight and entertainment for the boats
around us that were undoubtedly mocking us!
However the kids were ultimately safe and didn't get stung.
I successfully killed off 7 bees and thus 7 close calls.
But not all were safe.
During my sideways ninja one arm jousting stance
one warrior bee managed to sting me in the armpit!
lol really?! Of all places!
Then in the chaos I somehow managed to forget to raise the prop before Ryan
pulled us out of the water.
SCRAAAAAAPPPPEEE!!
And me screaming for him to STOOOOOP!!!!
Like I said
we were quite the entertainment for the fellow boaters that day! lol

Group pic attempt as we were finally safe in our car and leaving the lake!
I was nursing a bee sting to the armpit and Ryan one to the chest
The boat was nursing it's almost ripped off propeller.
But all were still smiles! lol

Swimming and Sleepovers

Date: July 14th

We were home from CA for a mere 12 hours
before we were back in the water.
It's just too hot here to do anything else!

This time we had the Russos come to the Water Park with us!

Mattie after the kids tortured her hair!

Well as usual all the kids were begging to have sleepovers.
So we divided and conquered.
I took the boys.
Tracy took the girls.

Which means it was a Barros dinner night!

And anything to keep these super active boys occupied!

Then "mommy popcorn" and a redbox of their choice!

I texted Tracy a pic of the boys watching their movie
and to let her know Noah was still alive! ;)

She sent a cute one back of the girls.
They had a blast too!
It was Taylee's first sleepover at a friend's house.
I was a tad nervous
Taylee had her moments of really missing me
and asking Tracy if I could come sleepover with her and Sophie too!
But eventually she decided she wanted to stay and then had a super great time! :)
(and now won't stop asking for more sleepovers!!)

Isn't this what summer is all about for kiddos?
Swimming and Sleepovers!

Maternity Portraits

Maternity Portraits - 36 weeks

Then we ventured outside to catch the sunset and monsoon clouds

I was pretty amazed that we were able to capture some great shots
considering we used the trusty 'ole tripod and self timer! :)

Now picture a 9 month lady in heels and her husband carrying a tripod/camera
literally running up the rocky hill to catch the last of the disappearing sun
while sweating profusely in the 105+ degree weather and humidity!
Do you still like the pics now?! lol

Baby Shower

Date: July 19th

My fabulous friends threw me an adorable Baby Shower on Saturday at

They are so sweet and even after I repeatedly told them I didn't need a shower
they still went forward to coordinate all of our hectic summer schedules!
So I relented and whipped up a design that matched my nursery for them
and they rolled with it!
It turned out so cute!!

They did such a great job turning a cute little restaurant into a perfect Baby Shower luncheon!!

Present Time
Taylee and Heidi were my helpers!

At the end of the shower everyone got a parting gift.

Much to Tracy's dismay,
I volunteered to make the "shower" gifts for the guests.
Complete with shower gel, loofah, and a mani/pedi kit.
You see my friends do so much for me and have been around for so long
it's the least I could do to thank them!

I'm one lucky girl to have been blessed with an amazing baby coming soon
and amazing friends to celebrate it with!
Thank you for such an adorable shower!
