Anden Turns ELEVEN!

Date: Aug 28th

Where oh where has the time gone?
My firstborn is now ELEVEN!!

Anden had already had a few celebrations leading up to the actual big day!
It all started Friday night when he and Owen were in the theater playing video games.
We asked him if he wanted his big present early.
Owen immediately answered for him, "YES!!!!!!!!"
So we hurried and "wrapped" it and brought it on up to them.

It's an Xbox One!
I love that Owen is the most excited one in the room! hahaha

Perfect timing for their late night which turned into a sleepover!
Ryan was just as excited as they were to have a legit excuse to
"bond" with the boys playing video games! lol

Then Saturday was the big Lake Party!

On Sunday Anden got sung to at church in Primary and got treats.
Sunday night we had his birthday dinner.
He picked steak, baked potatoes and steam broccoli.
For dessert Taylee and I had made him an ice cream cake!

Maybe when he turns 12 his missing teeth will finally grow in! ;)

FINALLY on Monday Aug 28th it was his actual birthday!
He woke up quite surprised that there were still presents waiting for him!
He thought Friday night was it for the presents!

He had a yummy birthday breakfast of his choice and then it was off to school.

Per tradition I picked him up from school to take him to lunch.
He wanted Subway.
And of course his little sisters joined along!

Then it was right back to school!

Happy Birthday to this amazing kid that made me a Mommy!
I love you so very much!!

Anden's Lake Party

Date: Aug 26th

Up next on the Birthday Party docket...

I knew this would be my easiest party ever...or my hardest party ever! lol
Just depends on how those 8 crazy boys were acting that day!

But folks let me tell you...it was definitely my EASIEST party ever!!
They had a complete blast and it took little effort from me and Ryan!
(well at least once we got on the lake! lol)

The boys all arrived right at 10am and we immediately set out for the lake.
They were SO excited as most hadn't even been to Lake Pleasant...that's 15 mins away!!

All geared up and we're off!

Birthday Boy wanted to wakeboard first.
So he showed off his skills for his buddies! ;)

A few others wanted to try wakeboarding but since the clouds in the distance were getting darker
we figured we better just move on to tubing before a storm hit!

All the boys shoved into the bow while we blew up the 2 massive tubes!

This was our first adventure with 2 tubes!
I rode with 2 tubes a lot growing up
but we've never done it yet!

I planned this perfectly to have 8 boys...so that they could all ride together!

Smile...before you realize what you just got yourself into! haha

And we were off!
They had SO much fun out there!
We could hear the laughing and see their huge grins and scared faces from the boat! haha

We would stop every so often to check their pulses
and have them all shift seats.
They were loving it!

"The Coolest Parents Ever"....or at least we better have been named that! lol

As time went on these boys got braver and braver.
There were some awesome crashes, jumping between tubes and crazy positions!

Finally a few boys wanted a break and eat some snacks.
The rest didn't want to waste a minute off the tubes!

And yes in the background is someone that didn't quite make it when he jumped between the tubes!

The 2+ hours on the lake FLEW by!
Those kids hands were soggy and permanently in the grip position! haha
They all took a turn wiping out except for Lucas!
Somehow we couldn't dump him out!

Finally we had to drag them in and head to the dock.
We sang to Anden and he blew out the 11 candle on his cake aka choco rice krispy! ;)

I can't believe this cutie stud is 11 years old!!!

We then dropped Ryan off at the dock to go get the truck/trailer.
He snapped a few pics of our party boat as he headed off.

The boys spent every last minute they could playing in the water
until we loaded up the boat and headed home!

Giving me their "tough" faces!
Or really they're that ticked about me taking a pic to send to their moms! haha

On the drive home!
I'm shocked they were still awake! lol
They played SO hard and were so worn out and starving..and sunburnt!!

But hey at least now they finally wanted to devour their lunches!

What an awesome party!!!
Now if all my kids could have Lake parties I would be set! :)
