GCU Soccer Game

Life was so busy after we got back from Idaho.

We were sprinting to catch up on everything!

Then of course to keep up with all the usual events that were already on the calendar!

Taylee's soccer club was invited to attend a collegiate soccer match at

Grand Canyon University.

She was so excited to go!

We couldn't make it because of Anden's football practice.

But luckily Taylee was able to go with Xaida's family.

They had a blast!

I love all the new friends and experiences that Soccer has brought into Taylee's life

and ours too!!

Girls Date - Arizona Cardinals

Date: Aug 30

We hadn't even been home from Idaho a full 10 hrs

when one of my girlfriends texted us that she had extra tickets

to the Cardinals vs Broncos game...starting in 2 hours!

Did we want them?

HECK YA!

Could we find a sitter in time?!

HECK NO!

So Ryan, who hadn't slept in over 24 hrs from driving us all night home from Idaho,

offered to stay home with the littles so he could crash asleep when they did.

Anden was walking out the door to his own football practice in 10 mins.

So this meant that Taylee and I got to go on a girls date

to the NFL game!! Woohoo!

We were in the middle of dinner and literally jumped up,

changed into our cards gear and were out the door!

Taylee somehow mentioned in that time that she hadn't been to a Cardinals game before.

HUH?!

We've been so many times! How is that possible!
I thought for sure she was mistaken.

But nope.

Guess we've never taken her.

Just Anden!

So this was extra exciting for her now to get her chance!!

Taylee was SO cute and excited.

She really does like football and asked SO many questions about the game!

I love that she loves sports just like her Momma! :)

Before the game started they did a moment of silence for John McCain,

who passed away while we were in Idaho.

That was pretty cool to have the stadium that completely quiet!

 

Now on to football action!!

The hugest bucket of popcorn you can buy! lol

And still sporting our Courageous Christine bracelets! :)

 

It was such a fun night with just my girlie.

She's SUCH an awesome sister and helper

that it's nice to eliminate the chaos of life and just have a night out with her alone!

Anden Turns TWELVE!

Date: Aug 28th

Anden quickly realized that having his birthday in Idaho

was actually a super cool thing!

Not only did he get to be around cousins and relatives,

he managed to milk like 3 birthday parties out of it! lol

On his actual birthday he woke up to decorations

and a full blown "Farmer's Breakfast" of his choice!

Then we all headed down to the gravel pits to play!

Then it was back home for naps.

Which meant the big kids and I snuck off to A&W!

Anden wanted a root beer freeze!

Then we loaded up and headed up to Idaho Falls.

First we stopped at the cemetery to visit Mom's grave.

We didn't quite know what to expect since we left there yesterday after the funeral.

They had lowered her casket into the ground

and covered it back up with all the gorgeous flowers from the burial arrangements.

So pretty.

But so surreal. 

I just keep thinking I'm going to wake up and this was all a dream.

It was hard to leave not knowing what it would all look like in 

months when I would be able to return.

But eventually we had to.

We loaded up and headed to iJump for a last minute "birthday party"!

Anden had been begging to go there sometime during this trip.

I just didn't think we would have time to fit it in.

But alas we did!
Laura, Noah and Mia went us there too.
The kids all had a blast!!

Then it was back to Mom's house

for cupcakes and hanging out with the family!

Baby Kennedy is always the hit of the party!

Let's see how many people can touch or sit as close to the baby as possible! lol

I'm always amazed how many humans can fit on this couch! haha

I'm sure Mom was there beaming at the sight of her house still full of kiddos and laughter!

And with that we finally loaded up and headed back to Blackfoot to bed!

Anden had an awesome birthday despite the circumstances!
