Idaho Summer Trip 2011 - July 23

Saturday, July 23:
Our first full day on "the farm".
Of course we had to start off by feeding the horses and touring the fields.

And that was just in the morning!
We spent the afternoon at Jensen's Grove!

Of course we never stop.
So we headed to Idaho Falls that night
to visit the rest of the family!

This is where I spent the majority of my trip.
Cozy is an understatement.

Popsicles. Cousins. Cool Country Evenings.
Pure. Bliss.

Idaho Summer Trip 2011 - July 22

And we're off to Idaho!
The first trip I've taken with just me and the kiddos!
I was a tad nervous.
They can easily eat me alive when they collaborate their skills.
But luckily they took it easy on me...well somewhat!

Anden was such a big kid
and pulled his own weight (literally).

Taylee did her best to keep up and not get run over
by the speeding passengers & luggage.
However everyone in the airport knew who "TAYLEE!" was
by the time we boarded.

But at least it helps when you're flying out of a tiny airport
with only 5 terminals!
Thank you Mesa Gateway Airport
for now sending us straight from AZ to ID!!

On the shuttle

Finally in our seats.
Where we sat for 1 hour
ON THE TARMAC.
"Sorry we've been notified that 2 fuel pumps are not working"

After I hog tied her down,
she finally gave in and passed out!

and eventually he did too!
You would think that would mean PEACE!
But nope, just meant I was frozen and cramping in awkward positions.

Finally we made it to IDAHO!
Anden looked out the window when we landed
and turned to me in complete confused disgust
"HEY THERE'S NO SNOW!!"

We had a quick chat about how some places have more than one season.
Arizona has one season = summer.
Idaho has 4 seasons.
Not all are winter.

Then we went to our usual first pit stop.
Arctic Circle.
With all the cousins!

Then over to Luke & Mel's house.
Where we reacquaint ourselves with our cousins
by beating the crap outta each other.

Eventually we headed back to Dad's house.
Where we crashed!
We were in dire need of a recharge for ALL the activities to come!

Back to Heat

We are Back!
To the
Great State of Arizona.
Our dear friends,
Heat & Humidity,
were graciously still here waiting for our triumphant return.

As soon as I finish the 14 loads of laundry,
I'll begin updating the blog!
Many fun adventures to report!
