Easter Saturday

The kids wanted to head to the lake.

So that's just what we did.

We braved the cold (78 degrees)

and the wind (5mph gusts)

and still managed to have a fun time!

Taylee has become a pro at pulling in the tube!

Anden just loves the free ride!

Since no one wanted to really get in the water.

We were creative about our on board activities!

Then we headed home to get ready for the Easter Bunny!

It's a Good Friday

Good Friday = No Work!

So we headed to the desert.

No Rhino.

Just quads.

For all!

It was Anden's 1st time riding his quad alone in the desert.

Oddly I wasn't nervous at all.

This kid amazes me.

However,

I'm scared to think what he'll be doing when he's 10.

And luckily I only had my 0.25 mega pixel cell phone camera with me.

Happy Mexican Easter

On Monday night our neighbors invited us to a

Cascarones Easter Egg Party.

I admit,

I had to google "cascarones" before I accepted the invite.

"Mexican egg bashing on heads"

Sweet, count us in!

Anden couldn't resist with finding just eggs.

And then we had dessert

and a little lesson about the

REAL

meaning of Easter!

There's only been two problems since this event:

1. Anden now thinks it's acceptable to hit Taylee in the head with anything.
2. Taylee now thinks it's acceptable to use regular eggs for head bashing.

Homemade Water Park

Despite the fact that my kids have

 way more toys than they need.

They still can't manage to suppress their

desire to have a little redneck fun.

I plead my innocence on this one.
