Idaho Christmas Trip 2017 - 12/27

Date: Dec 27th

Today our plan was to head ice skating in Idaho Falls

and hopefully be able to see Mom too!

She had been pretty wiped out the last couple of days.

So we had stayed away so she could recoup.

We played at Dad's in the morning

and then loaded up our entire crew to head to Idaho Falls.

We picked up Luke's kids and then went to the Ice Rink.

It was such a fun time!!

Although we quickly realized the 3 and younger crowd does not like ice skating!

Well Eastlie liked it until she realized she couldn't run away with skates on! lol

The rest of the big kids quickly became pros!

Although they still wanted the skate helpers to use as toys! lol

 

Fine!  Then I'll just crawl away!! lol

Uh do you think it's lunch and nap time?!

Or maybe they really do hate ice skating that much! lol

Ok girlies fake that you like ice skating! ... with tears in both their eyes lol

Mel and Luke both stopped by in between work too!

Then we facetimed Mom while we were there so she could watch the kiddos skate too!

We managed to find the only heater in the whole place! ha

She refused to put her skates on the ice.

Ryan and Aaron took the little girls back home for naps.

So the Moms stayed longer with the big kids.

It was fun to actually get out and skate with them!

Then Mom wanted us to stop by.

So we grabbed lunch and ate at her house!

Post ice skating starving kids!!

We took Jeslynn back to Blackfoot with us.

Her, Anden and Taylee get along so well and have so much fun together!

To our surprise my cousin Lacie and her cute family were stopping by Dad's 

on their way to Island Park.

So we really got to party it up with everyone!!

Anden was in HEAVEN to finally have boy relatives to play with! haha

Love these two cuties!

Eventually the Murrays had to head on towards Island Park.

So we just relaxed the rest of the night until the kids crashed asleep!

Idaho Christmas Trip 2017 - 12/26

Date: Dec 26th

We hung out in Blackfoot all day today.

We all played outside in the snow and went sledding at the gravel pits

Yes this is what Eastlie should look like when outside in the snow

(not wrapped only in a blanket on Daddy's lap!)

She really thought she was a big kid and gonna ride there by herself! haha

Then we cruised back home for nap time.

We took the big kids and snuck into A&W while the girls were sleeping.

Taylee found something very important...just one day late! haha

Later that night everyone was getting cabin fever,

so we loaded up our circus and headed into town to a pizza place.

Luckily nobody was in the restaurant and we had it all to ourselves!!

Eastlie was a nightmare to contain.

She's just so thrilled to run and run and run everywhere since nothing is baby proof here! UGH

So we took turns chasing her until the pizza arrived.

The kids loved playing pool and arcade games by our table

It was yummy pizza that everyone loved!

After dinner Ryan and Aaron decided they want to play a game of pool.

I quickly told Ryan I didn't think that was a good idea

only because our little girls were being such handfuls and therefore

I needed two sets of hands to contain them.

Well the boys decided to play their game anyway.

Five minutes into their game Laiklyn ran into that single mens bathroom right

behind the pool table.

I was chasing Eastlie through the restaurant.

So I hollered at Anden to please get her out of that bathroom.

He goes to open the door and Laiklyn blocks it to stay in there.

So he pushes the door harder to open it

and yep it smacks right into her face.

But not just that,

the door knob was the exact height that it hit straight into her eye socket.

And yep...it knocked her out cold!!

I heard the first scream and Ryan and Lyndsay run over there.

Then it was silent so I thought everything was ok.

Oh it was only silent because she had passed out.

Lovely.

She came to ok and  had a swollen under eye.

Which later turned into a black eye.

So that's about the point that I knew our dinner outing was over!!

Eastlie was screaming that I put her down to care for Laiklyn.

We were one big mess! lol

So we threw the screaming baby and black eyed child in the car

and immediately headed back to Dad's house!

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye!

And that we just about did! ;)
