Anden's Early Birthday Surprise

Date: Aug 24th

With my sweet Mother's passing,

we had to rearrange a lot of things in order to hurry and get up to Idaho.

One of them was Anden's birthday and his party.

He was so understanding about it and didn't complain once.

So we decided to surprise him early with his birthday gift

before we left for our trip.

After school on Friday he found a scavenger hunt of clues waiting for him!
These kids know by now a scavenger hunt always has an awesome ending!
The love it!

And the final clue led him to his gift!!

A new dirt bike!!

He started that thing up and zipped straight across the yard in a flash! lol

And then Ryan, Anden, Owen and Taylee

immediately loaded up and hit the desert for some riding fun!!

(while I stayed back with the littles and finished packing for Idaho! Hmm how did I draw that short stick?!)

They sent me pics and videos of their adventures!

They had a blast!

Anden was so shocked and ecstatic about his gift!

I had repeatedly told him a dirt bike was WAY too much for a birthday gift.

I guess sometimes you just get lucky! ;)

Milking the Birthday

The 4th Birthday Celebration Continues

Date: Aug 13th

On Monday Laiky was so excited to ride her new scooter with the big kids to their school.

I had dressed her in a new outfit from Aunt Brookie!

I didn't realize just how big the shorts were until our way back

and they kept slipping further and further off her little bum! lol

When we finally got to the driveway they were full blown around her ankle.

She penguin walked up the driveway yelling for me to help her! hahahaha

So yes I did change her shorts before we left for her school! lol

 Then we loaded up and Laiklyn took treats to school

to share with her class for her birthday.

She was the first one to have a birthday...since school just started last week!

So they spoiled her extra hard!

She was sporting her birthday hat and a huge grin ear to ear

when I picked up her up!

She even had a present from her teacher that she opened on the drive home.

Then lunch back at home!

It's the never ending birthday party for this kid!

Laiklyn Turns FOUR!

Date: Aug 12th

Laiklyn turned the big FOUR!

It feels like she's SO much older than just four.

She talks like a genius,

thinks like a genius

and just all around keeps us on our toes on the daily!!
She's so spicy yet so sweet.
She's the perfect combo of sass and sugar!

Sunday morning we woke up and immediately opened presents!

Finally she had to search for the last present!

She found it behind the couch!

What is it?!

A new scooter!!

Back to playing with her new pups while I made breakfast

A birthday breakfast of sprinkled pancakes!

And then off we ran to church by 9am!!

She got spoiled there too with treats and songs!

Then we played all afternoon too!

For dinner she picked Texas Roadhouse because she wanted to ride the "horsey"! lol

Then before bed we did another birthday song and dance!

We just love you Laiklyn!
