Primary Program

On Sunday was Anden's first Primary Program at church.

I can't believe he's old enough to sit up on the stand with the big kids.

And pull faces at us the whole time.

We practiced his one line all week.

"I love Jesus because he made my family"

Each time he added something extra to the end.

..and my toys, and my dirt bike, and my quad.

I was a tad nervous what would actually emerge from his mouth

when he stepped up to the pulpit

with hundreds of people staring at him.

He was the first of the 4 yr olds to deliver their line.

He marched on up there.

Climbed on the stool.

Stared across the sea of people.

And stalled long enough to smile wide

and make a funny face

for all to see

and laugh.

Then he confidently leaned into the microphone,

"I love Jesus because he made my family...!"

Flashed another huge smile,

hopped down,

walked back to his seat.

I melted.

I L.O.V.E this kid.

Even when he was licking the half wall railing,

poking the girl next to him,

playing peek a boo behind the wall,

desperately holding out his arms for us to rescue him,

giving Taylee dirty looks when she flaunted his toys at him,

sliding out of his chair,

and waving to us for the 100th time.
