Kitchen Facelift - Part 3

I'm finally at a 'stopping point' with the kitchen.
Of course there is tons more I want to do.
But I'll need more time and money to complete those!

So here's the kitchen for now!

The pictures make the walls look blue.
But it's actually a very faint turquoise.
Picking the right shade of light colored paint is the hardest commitment for me.
Since there's literally 100s of options!
Of which each look different in your home than on the swatch!
So I'm still a little iffy if I love it.

But overall I'm totally thrilled with the kitchen makeover!

(OK and i'll secretly admit that the kitchen desk cabinets aren't done yet!
Oops ran out of paint and motivation! Luckily it's on the other half of the kitchen
so I conveniently didn't have to take pics of that! lol)

..NOW..
I couldn't ignore the attached family room.

I was so thrilled to take down the old decor that I forgot to take "before" pics.
But I did manage to snap one of this beauty as I was shoving it out the door.
(my intent was sofa slipcovers until I found a steal of deal on Craigslist!)

So here's what the family room looks like now!

And again, I'm never fully done decorating.
There's lots more I want to do to make it picture perfect.
But that doesn't quite fit our lifestyle.
It needs to be 'liveable'!
For instance,
I have never had "breakables" in this room.
For good reason.
Let's just say I'm already on the second set of decor on that turquoise table.
Yep,
knocked off and shattered within a week.

I love having a busy house of little kids.
And I'm not entirely sarcastic with that one!
I adore my munchkins.
Although it took 10 mins to remember that as I was sweeping up
little shattered bits of brand new frames and finials.

So now I'm saving my pennies to work on the rest of the house!
One room at a time!
