Day Two:
The kids were awake way too early as usual
banging on the door to play with Kyrrigan.
One of the best parts of Lyndsay becoming a mom...
She now experiences the joys of being awake way too early also!
No more waiting around for hours to play with Aunt Lyndsay! lol
Saturday morning we headed up to Mount Charleston
for a little Vegas snow action!
Literally.
We all shoved ourselves into one car
and made our way up the hill.
The snow (if you can call it that) was beyond icy, sparse, and half brown
but we could have cared less!
We still had fun on the dangerous "sled hill" and just hiking around!
(yes it's prob not a good sign when there was a graveyard of broken sleds at the bottom!)
Anden found an old skateboard without wheels.
That became his sled/snowboard.
Taylee preferred to use her knees as her sled
Aaron & Ryan were the ultimate Redneck Sledders.
Cardboard and Broken Sleds were their chosen method.
Clearly it worked out well for them.
The women and children were smarter.
We ditched that death trap hill and went exploring!
Redneck Loungin'
Taylee found an ingenious method to brace herself
on the side of the mountain while doing snow angels.
Umm...really?!
On second thought maybe her idea wasn't so bad after all!
Anden spent his time hiking hills and throwing snowballs at us below
As the sun warmed up, the ice snow turned to slush.
More city foolish folk descended upon us with their cardboard in hand
and fluffy miniature dogs in prissy sweaters in the other hand.
We figured it was time to get out of there!
We headed to the lodge and had lunch.
Then made our way back home.
While Kyrrigan napped, the girls hung out.
The boys saw their opening and immediately cruised out.
The gun store and skate park were calling their name.
That evening we headed to Red Rock Casino.
Cosmic Bowling here we come!
And of course a little arcade action while we waited for a lane.
Guess he didn't agree with his score
Taylee didn't stop moving.
(big surprise)
She just danced and sang away to each song all night!
We topped off the night with a light snack massive pizza.
