Saturday was an insanely busy day for us!
It was Grandma Norma's birthday/party,
Brylee's birthday,
Tracy's Baby Shower,
Phoenix Coyotes Game
and finally
Anden's 1st Basketball Game!
For the last 2 years I have been able to somehow
magically juggle everything alone
and be at every practice, event and game.
Saturday that came to a screeching halt.
I was co-hosting a Baby Shower for one of my
very best friends Tracy Russo
at 10:30am.
Anden's basketball schedule was released after the shower was planned.
His game was at 11am.
The events were 20 miles apart.
I was heartbroken that I couldn't be at both.
Luckily Grandma Kathy came to the rescue
and took Anden to his game.
I wanted to cry as I packed his bag and sent him off.
I gave Grandma my camcorder to document the action.
I gave Anden a huge good luck hug/kiss.
Then Taylee and I jumped in the car and rushed to the girly shower!
In all the morning chaos,
I forgot my camera.
So phone pics of the shower are all you're getting!
I designed the printables/decor/favors/etc.
I love girly frilly events!
A few of us brought our daughters along.
They had SO much fun playing!
(yes my daughter was the only one that already had grass/mud stains on her!)
It was a gorgeous sunny day
for a Baby Shower Brunch
and Michelle's house was the perfect backdrop!
I had to leave the party early to rush back and get Anden.
Taylee was more upset than me.
"MOM! My friends are going to miss ME!"
I loaded the pint size party pooper into the car
and we rushed back home anyway.
During the party,
I decided to check my phone.
To my delight and anguish,
Kathy had texted me updates on the game.
Apparently Anden was the complete
SUPER STAR
and scored TEN points!!
They won 14-4.
He scored 10 of the 14 points!!
I was elated but had to hold back tears that I missed it.
I'm so happy that Grandma Kathy was there to see his first basketball debut
and truly thankful that she could help me out.
We rushed home to hear play by play action
and to watch the video footage she captured!
(video coming soon!)
Immediately after finishing watching the videos,
the kids switched sports gears.
They started their usual begging to go to the skate park.
So that's just what we did!
How could you not want to be outside.
It was a perfect 75+ degree day!

In between hitting the ramps,
we made calls to all the birthday relatives!
Then we headed back home to relax for a bit.
The day was far from over.
We met up with Ryan for an early dinner.
Then the boys went to the Coyotes game
while the girls went shopping!
Anden has really been wanting to go to a Coyotes hockey game.
So Ryan promised he would take him.
Anden reminded me & Taylee for days that ONLY BOYS were going!
Needless to say he had a blast!
So I let Taylee pick what she wanted to do.
"First I want to go to that cool jewelry store (Charming Charlies)
then to get a new outfit,
then to the salon to get my nails done."
Sheesh this girl is already expensive! lol
Showing off her new necklace!
We had SO much fun!
I just laugh so hard when I'm with her.
She really has evolved into my fave shopping partner!
Taylee: "Mommy you should get a teal pair of jeans like mine to try on."
Mom: "Ok honey I will."
Later in the dressing room after Taylee does a fashion show of 5 outfits,
I try on the matching skinny jeans.
Mom: "Hhmm do you like these?"
Taylee: "Hhmm let's see. Turn around. Ok that looks good. Ok turn back around.
Yep those pockets are cool. I like them!...(as she pats my butt!)"
I about ripped out of those skinny jeans when I fell down laughing.
Toddler Fashion Police
is here to stay!
I absolutely love spending one on one time with my kiddos!
And boy did they sleep great that night!
They were officially worn out!
