I'm always trying to find something new and interesting
to keep the kiddos entertained.
I saw these glow in the dark spinner tops at Dollar Tree
and picked up a few to use during Memorial Day weekend.
Well we were so busy we forgot about them.
So a few days later when the "I'm bored" comments hit,
I whipped out these little little guys.
I made the mistake of having the kids help bend the sticks and assemble them.
Anden broke one of his glow sticks.
Apparently common sense fled me when I told him
"No worries it'll still work, just put it in the spinner anyway"
Well as I was busy assembling Taylee's spinner top,
Anden took the liberty to test out the spinner on the kitchen floor.
Glow in the dark liquid spewed everywhere.
I didn't know whether to laugh or scold him or quickly clean it up.
We now had a solar system on our kitchen floor.
Common sense evaded me again as I hurried and flipped on the lights to clean it up.
Hhmm where did the mess go??
So the lights went back off and we wiped out our new galaxy.
Ok NOW can we move this activity outside?
So into the street we went
and left a glowing spray along the way!
Quite the excitement for a 3-pack of spinner tops for a measly $1.
Wonder what the carpet man will charge to clean my glowing rug though.
