Date: May 26th
Taylee's youth group at church
had their Activity Days Girl Camp!
This year they have the best leaders and planned something so cool!!
The girls got to go to Flagstaff and do the
Taylee immediately begged me to come too.
Which of course I was more than happy to do!
Since school was already out,
Ryan was lucky enough to get to be the stay at home mom with the other 3 kids! ;)
I got a fun carload of girls
and we made the 2 hour trek to Flagstaff!
Harnessed up and ready to go!
(and don't be fooled by the sunshine, it was FREEZING!! like 60 degrees)
The instructors gave them a quick demo with a ton of safety rules.
Then finally they got to start the practice course!
I didn't even have to look over to see who volunteered to go first!
Yep it was Taylee!
I could have easily guess you went next, yep her best bud Sophie.
Those two are seriously fearless!
Taylee breezed through the practice course and
headed on over to the official course!
First girls Done!
These two literally flew through that course.
And it looked pretty challenging!!
I didn't realize how quickly they finished it
until I looked back at the beginning and there
were scared little girls that hadn't even started yet
because of other scared little girls that were moving slowly
up high in the pines!
So we played an impromptu game
while we waited for all the girls to start the course
before Round 2 could start.
Second Round
Yep she led the pack again!
I was SO proud of all these girls!
Some of them there literally terrified up there.
But every single girl pushed herself past her own limits
and finished that course!!!
See all you boys....girls aren't just about crafting! ;)
(yes Anden was SO jealous the girls got to go here!!)
After everyone finished the course a couple times
we went for a little hike and ate our lunches.
Then it was more hiking and eventually back to our cars to head home!
We were all exhausted!!
Then we rocked out to music and chowed on candy the next 2 hours back to Anthem! :)
