Location: Flagstaff, AZ
Taylee's team had their first soccer tourney of the season.
They played in the Flagstaff Invitational.
So we decided to really make a weekend of it
and rent a big cabin with 2 other families.
It was such a fun time!!
We pulled Tay out of school early on Friday and off we went!
Anden stayed home for football.
So it was a girly trip plus Dad! lol
Yes Tay did request we make a giant size batch of chex mix for the weekend!
1 hour later.....awwww peace and quiet! lol
After a looooong Phoenix summer we were more than excited
for mountain cooler temps and pine trees!!
And a bunch of fun pictures from the weekend!
Plenty of hanging out, eating, playing and of course soccer!
It was the Ford, Williams and Taylor Party!
We just played at the cabin all afternoon and evening!
We made a yummy big dinner!
The cabin was right on the golf course.
Everyone had a blast playing on our "personal lawn" after the course closed!
SATURDAY
The Fords had to leave super early for their game.
The rest of us got up at a normal hour, made breakfast, lounged around a bit
and then headed out to the soccer fields!
Off to the soccer games!
Team lunch in between games!
Back to the cabin for dinner break!
Ryan said he was going to have the littles take a quick nap before the night game.
Hmmm looks like he's the only one that fell asleep!
Then back to the fields!
The little siblings had so much playing during the game!
Saturday night win!
Then back to the cabin for ice cream, games and fun!

The girls played so well!
They have a new coach and several new teammates.
They've had very few practices together.
They ended up taking 3rd place!
This should be an exciting season!!
Then it was back to the cabin to chill and eventually load up to head home
Of course Ryan and Aaron are still just little competitive boys!
They had to race each other back down to Anthem!
Aaron suckered us into stopping at the gas station for ice for his cooler on our way out.
Once we pulled in,
he kept on driving for the freeway!!
Punk!! lol
No worries though,
Ryan drove like a mad man to try to catch up.
We tricked them into thinking we had to stop for the girls to pee.
They totally thought they had us beat.
But nope they ended up having to stop for a potty break for their girls.
Lucikly most of our girls had fallen asleep so we just kept on cruising home!
Except of course the ONE girl that should have taken a nap...was WIDE AWAKE!

While 2/3 of the children slept...Ryan kept the racer's pace!
And we made it back to Anthem in first place!
To prove it,
we drove to their house first and left them a welcome home gift...
the "ice" they supposedly needed! haha
Looks like we secured a 1st Place finish after all this weekend!
Just maybe not in soccer!! lol
