Family Valentine's Celebration

Date: Feb 13th

We had our

Family Valentine's Celebration

a day early!

I made a delicious dinner 

and we all took turns telling everyone at the table

what we loved about them.

Then we devoured our food!

Then Anden insisted on taking a picture of his plate too lol

(this is his very fave meal!)

Then he even included a pic of me with the family! ;)

For dessert we moved back into the kitchen

where I had a chocolate fondue station set up.

The kids LOVED this.

They voted this will be dessert for every Valentine's from now on!

(good thing I threw this part together at the last minute lol)

Then we finished the night decorating sugar cookies

that Grandma Jamison had sent us!

Guess which ones were Laiklyn's??

lol yep the Minions!

This was such a low key yet super heart warming night

with the people I love the most! :)

The Love Box

Date: Feb 1-14th

Every February 1st through the 14th

the kids and Ryan get a little treat in their 

Love Boxes!

We all love this little tradition!

This year I was on the ball and had everything prepped before Feb 1st
and even managed to take a pic of all the treats!
That way I won't duplicate ideas next year!

But let me tell you...buying and assembling SEVENTY little treats is quite the effort.
Good thing I don't give ones to myself too! lol

Happy Valentine's Day!

It's that time of year again to torture my kids
with Valentine Portraits! :)

I did promise Anden this was the last year he had to participate! lol
"C'MON MOM!!  I'm gonna be TWELVE!! Do I still have to do this?!"
At least the girls are still excited about frilly tutus and matching rain boots!

I did also promise everyone it would only take 30 mins of their precious lives
to forever document their cute ages.

So we threw on their festive clothes
and headed behind the house into the desert wash for a very LONG 30 minutes
of wrangling two little girls.
And miraculously somehow a few pictures always turn out great!

That's just what happens when you're dealing with 4 kids

of which 2 are toddlers!

But this one had me laughing out loud.

Oh poor Anden surrounded by all things girly! haha

Valentine Class Treats

Date: Feb 11th

It's School Valentine time!

And how is it that Anden is too old for Valentines?!

Apparently 5th grade isn't allowed to bring in Valentine treats anymore.

Which means this is Taylee's last year to enjoy the festive fun!

She debated forever what she could pick for the design of her Valentine box.

With some suggestions from me (of what I knew I could handle lol),

she finally decided on an Owl.

Well luckily I have hoards of craft supplies around this house!

We rummaged through what I had and created this cute box!!

Yes we even made little feet for it!

Then it was on to deciding what type of treat to hand out.

Again she debated forever.

(decisions are hard for this cute girl lol)

Finally she picked Nerds.

So I whipped up a design for it and glued them together.

And off she happily went to school with her box and goodies!

I also made little Owl themed gifts for the teachers.

Included were Dry Erase Markers, Owl shaped Dry Eraser and Owl Candies.

Even Anden agreed to give one to his home room teacher too!
