May 24: Island Park
The day was spent first with a long rhino/dirt bike ride. Then we got ready and went to church. They have an awesome A frame building there with big picture windows looking right into the pine trees. I would have been able to enjoy the scenery if it weren't for my tired wiggly kids using me as a jungle gym. After church we went to Big Springs and fed the fish. It was cold and drizzling so I opted to stay in the car and "watch" my sleeping baby Taylee. When we got back home, a mountain rain storm hit including lots of hail! Anden had a blast catching worms. After the storm cleared up, we went back out for a muddy ride! We explored the woods and even ran into a huge moose right next to us!!
The scenery after the rain storm...
We didn't have a crib for Taylee to sleep in. We attempted creating barriers with blankets the first night but found her a few hours later face down on the carpet 10 feet away. So I told Jeremy he needed to use his "skills" to construct a crib contraption for her. He came downstairs with that scary mischievous smile saying her bed was ready. This is what I found:
Oddly, she liked it! And it successfully kept her from squirming away during the night!
