Memorial Day Weekend

At the last minute,

Anden & I escaped to

He was beyond excited for "Vegas Baby"!

12 mins later he abandoned his post as co-captain!

This trip had nothing to do with "Vegas".

It just had everything to do with family.

And sister time.

And random animal time.

Lyndsay has inadvertently started a rescue animal shelter.

Meet Banjo.

The once abandoned baby Quail.

After a weekend with Anden,

he wished he was still abandoned.

And let us not forget Rocky.

The once abandoned turtle (or tortoise?)

He's not as terrified of Anden anymore.

His hard shell dramatically increases his potential of living through our visits.

We played in the pool.

Then we headed to the Boulder City BBQ Festival

We toured the car show.

We ate yummy food!

And laid in the grass!

And practiced Yoga poses.

And crashed asleep on the way home.

Breaking Mommy's arm.

Saturday afternoon we braved the 429 mph winds and hit the community water park.

Hopefully that is WEIGHTED sunscreen.

I was sure he was gonna blow away!

And since I egg'd everyone else into climbing the Tower of Wind Terror

and riding the slides.

I had to go also.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!

Sunday morning Aaron & Lynds took Anden over to the skate park.

Which allowed me some MUCH needed R&R for 2 whole hours!!

Then we went to church.

Anden even got to go with the 11 yr olds to Aaron's Primary class!

Later Lynds and I finally escaped for some sister time at the movies.

Perfect Ending.

Sadly it was time to head home.

Even more sad than that.

Seeing this...

When there's 8 miles left to Kingman.

Thank heavens for the tail wind.

That literally pushed me into the gas station.
