Taylee loves to paint.
Well she loves anything creative for that matter.
So most days when she's at the sitter's house
she paints a lovely picture for me.
Our sitter happens to be my great friend Holly.
So I get the inside scoop on their day.
(And the kids get special treatment!)
The other day when I picked up the kids.
Holly couldn't stop laughing and showed me Taylee's painting for the day.
I stared at it confused since it's similar to every other painting of hers.
Well that day when Holly asked "Was it Taylee?"
So she could label it at the top.
She fully expected Taylee to say the usual
"flowers, rainbows, butterflies".
But not today.
Instead her painting was....
It took Holly asking Taylee 3 times to understand what it was.
She kept thinking 'WHAT? A Canal?!'
But Taylee was adamant that was what the picture was.
By now I'm cracking up laughing too.
Considering "Canals" are RARE in Phoenix,
I told Holly it would make her Idaho heritage proud that she knows:
A) What a canal is
B) Would swim in it every day if she had the chance
C) That's where the water comes from to "iwwigate" the grass
