October Outing

Here's one of the many reasons we

Lake Trip

OCTOBER!

I figure rather than moan and groan that it'll never cool down here,

(which yes I still do anyway!)

we might as well embrace the 90+ degrees!

Anden was a pro tuber.

Yelling at me to drive faster.

Trying to stand up and surf.

Then trying to jump out when the tube swung out of the wake!

Crazy kid!!

Then he remembered his love for skiing.

Taylee was begging to ski the whole time.

I cautiously told her to watch Anden do it first and then decide.

She was adamant that she still wanted to ski.

So I warned her that she would be out there all by herself.

Didn't phase her.

She jumped right in.

First try, she's up!

Now she thinks she's a pro too!

Anden wasn't so happy about sharing the skiing limelight with his sister.

Sorry kiddo, gotta get used to it.

This little girl is on a fearless mission to take over the world!

Such a fun "Family Home Evening" on the lake!

I did manage to throw in some discussion about Jonah & the Whale

just to make sure we did something spiritual that related to our water activity.

Then I quickly realized,

that was the wrong lesson to teach while IN the lake.

Wide Eyed Taylee: "Um...are there whales in here that are gonna eat me too?!!"

Lesson = Fail

So I quickly changed the topic and told them about Jesus walking on water.

And how miraculous and cool that was.

Less than Impressed Anden: "Mom bugs walk on water also.  It's not that cool"

Lesson = Fail

I give up!
