The Door Monsters

Back when we decorated the house for Halloween

the kids had picked out "scary guys"

that they wanted to put on their bedroom doors.

For major holidays I let them have wreaths, mini Christmas Trees, etc

in their bedrooms to add some decor upstairs.

So I figured great idea, let's do it!

They both picked a scary mummy.

I kindly geared Taylee towards the skeleton instead

knowing the mummy would end up freaking her out.

So we ran home from the store 

and immediately hung up our new Door Monsters!

The kids were so excited!

We posed and accessorized them.

(Yes Taylee's has it's hand on its hip just like she always does!)

Well oddly my sweet little kids have had horrible sleeping habits this month.

Hhmm wonder why??!

Before bed they each think of at least 10 reasons why they NEED to sleep with me.

Each time I tell them nice try but you're sleeping in your own beds.

Taylee ends up sneaking down into my room most nights.

Anden always stays in his own room.

Until this month.

They both sneak down with me.

Which means this Momma isn't getting much sleep!

Finally we had a discussion about the sleeping arrangements.

And finally they admitted, well mostly Anden, 

that the Door Monsters scare them at night.

Yet oddly they begged me NOT to take them down.

Let's just say after they went to bed the other night.

I ripped those dang Door Monsters right off!

And we have ALL slept better since!
