Anniversary Getaway

Date: Nov 14-15th

Ryan surprised me with an early anniversary getaway to Sedona!
We rarely ever get a date night let alone a date weekend!
I have the best hubby ever!
I was beyond excited to have my man all to myself!!

Oh and should I really tell you how spoiled I am?
Right before he told me to pack for a surprise trip
the house cleaners unexpectedly showed up.
AHHH double bonus!!!
So while the 5 of them zipped around cleaning every inch of my house
I was able to just pack in peace.
And then off we left! :)

Good thing I just bought some new tunes that came out that day.
Yes we are Beliebers! ;)

So we were able to rock out to the music and actually have a full conversation on the drive.
It was awesome! lol

In a short hour we were in a completely different world.
Ryan booked us a suite at a boutique hotel that we hadn't stayed at before.
It was such a cute place!

View from our balcony

After we chilled at our hotel for awhile
we went for a drive to see the beauty that is Sedona.

Then it was back to hotel to change for a night out.
We went to dinner at Cucina Rustica and it was amazing!!
We love trying out new restaurants and different types of food!

Then back to our hotel to chill in the hot tub and our room.
It was quite the cold front that weekend so we got to use the fireplace in our room
the entire time!  Ahh I just love fireplaces!

The next morning we had a fancy breakfast at our hotel and hung around.

Then we headed out to explore Oak Creek Canyon.

I LOVE this time of year in Sedona.
It's just so colorful and beautiful!
I had just said the previous weekend when we were in Idaho
that we usually go to Sedona to see our fall colors.
But this year we lucked out and ended up in Idaho instead.
Little did I know my hubby had this trip up his sleeve too!

We stopped in the Canyon and gathered huge leaves and pine cones.
I figured while we were at it we might as well get authentic decor
for our Thanksgiving dinner! ;)

And of course I was freezing.
I guess flip flops aren't appropriate year round in other locations!

We finally loaded up and headed back into town.
We had lunch at our fave little cafe overlooking the canyon.

Then it was a pit stop for the most delicious white chocolate peppermint hot cocoa
and we hit the road back home.

What a super fun much needed getaway!!
We just laughed and goofed out and laughed even more.
I sure lucked out with this hubby of mine!
Happy Early Anniversary!
