Per tradition we sent Halloween off with a BANG!
Yep we blew away the pumpkins!
Or I should say pumpkin.
The carved ones lasted two days in this hot weather
before they folded in half and peed out their insides all over.
No exaggeration.
And the worst part is they were still on my kitchen counter!!
Usually we just go to the wash by our home.
But on a whim we decided to load up the go kart and bigger guns
and head a couple miles north to the open desert.
I learned in 30 seconds this was a horrible place for Laiklyn to be.
She was EVERYWHERE picking up every piece of trash
and old bullet cases and putting them in her mouth.
Not to mention that massive scorpions the kids kept finding.
Ya that was enough for me
and she was immediately put in the go kart to hang out there instead!

Ryan and the kids set up the targets
Anden was mighty excited to shoot this beast instead of the bb guns
we normally use for this activity!
Reloading Station on the Trailer
Which quickly became Taylee's stage
We couldn't handle wrestling Laiklyn anymore and she got locked down with an iPad
Ahh finally I could sit back and watch the kids shoot
While periodically checking on the Tasmanian Toddler.
Yep she's still cool chilling with the iPad!
Anden decided to show me his cool moves without the guns
Then it was time to just bash the pumpkins with rocks instead
Taylee might have underestimated the trajectory of rock ricochet
She lined up this rock much better
while Anden in the background had a whole higher level of expectations
Ok maybe good ole feet are better than boulders!
And one more with Laiklyn who was still hog tied in the car
And we also learned that Laiklyn must have turned the key on in the go kart
cuz the battery was totally dead.
You see she sneaks to the side yard every time she goes outside and climbs up in the kart
and pushes every button possible.
Lovely.
Good thing we loaded it up and hauled it with us! lol
The sun set too soon and so we headed out.
Since we were already in New River we stopped at
Roadrunner Saloon for a real cowboy dinner
and to watch the action in the arena!
The kids were FREEZING (ok me too) in their short sleeves.
So we headed back home.
Once we were safely in the car with our butt warmers on high
we realized it was 73 degrees outside.
Um....ya we're Arizonan wimps!! lol
