Theater Remodel - Bar stools

Date: Feb 26-29

I needed new bar stools for the theater.
The ones I had in there are too big and bulky
and of course the wrong color scheme now.
So off they went to the garage to be sold or donated.

Then I searched high and low for the bar stools I envisioned.
Of course they weren't to be found.
So what do you do now?
You make them yourself!!

So it was back to trusty Craigslist to find a pair I could refinish.
Bingo.
These ugly bad boys were getting a new life!
I paid $15 for both! lol

So I got out my abundant selection of spray paint and set off.
I wanted gold metal chairs.
And that's just what I got!
(Ryan didn't see my vision and thinks they look like they're from the 60s! Hello gold is back!)

Then I found some great fabric and reupholstered the seats.

Ahhhh they're exactly what I dreamed up in my little head!! :)
And when Ryan saw the finished product he changed his opinion,
"Wow babe those actually look really great!"

Then I really won him over when I showed him the closest style bar stool online
which sells for $582!
(Yes really!! Who actually pays that much?!)

Instead mine were....
$15 for both stools
$4 paint
$11 fabric (used my 50% off coupon!)
For a whopping total of $30 for two custom bar stools!!

Now on to the next project!
