Family Flagstaff Trip

Date: Jan 26-29th

Ryan's cousin Andrea was getting married on Friday Jan 27th.
So the family all rented a cabin together for the long weekend.
Well to our delight,
Flagstaff (and most of the northern United States) got a massive 3 day snow storm
the weekend prior.
Perfect timing for us!!
It's the most snow I've ever seen in Flag!
Exhibit A:
Here's our cabin main floor deck!

Um don't think we'll be using that patio furniture this weekend! lol

We had so much fun!!
However Eastlie decided to become cranky pants and cried most of the weekend.
Like.Really.All.Weekend.Long.
So I took very few pictures! :(
But Uncle Merit took a ton...so one day I'll get those from him and post them too!

Thursday

We arrived Thursday night!
We had barely carried our suitcases into the house
before the kids threw on their snow clothes and were back outside!

Our cabin was at the end of a cul de sac
so the snow plows had piled up a huge mound in the middle of the cul de sac.
The kids loved playing in it.

Our yard had quite the mound of snow too!
Laiklyn just keeps right up with the big kids!
(even if she has to crawl to keep up! lol)

Go big or go home with snowball eating!

Then it was straight to the hot tub!

Friday

Friday morning we played outside around our cabin.
I actually got to play with the kiddos a bit
while someone else tried to calm down Eastlie!

Laiklyn always eating snow!

Then we got ready and headed to the wedding.
It was SO cold but beautiful!

They're married!!!
Laiklyn literally yelled that! haha so funny!

Then we headed immediately back inside the warm cabin for the reception!

We hung out there most of the day/night.
Finally Eastlie fell apart so all the kids and I headed back to our cabin.
Then we stayed up and played games all night
(ok let's be real...they all played games while I struggled to get Eastlie to sleep upstairs all night! ugh!)

Saturday

Saturday we got up and drove over to the sledding hill we had found last year.
It was perfect and everyone had so much fun!

Yes that's Eastlie hidden under all those blankets/coats in Ryan's arms! lol

Poppy and Merit took a ton of pictures of this day.
So I'll have to get those from them!

Saturday night we made dinner at the cabin.
Then hot tubbin' and more game playing
while again juggling a crying non sleeping baby!
A sunset view from my bedroom deck while rocking Eastlie!

Sunday

We got up and had breakfast.
Then we packed up our bags and headed out.
We went sledding for a couple hours at different spot right by our cabin.
(tons of pics to come from Uncle Merit!)

Then we headed to lunch at Cafe Rio
and eventually all made our trek back to the Valley.
It's exactly 2 hours back to our house.
So crazy to go from one extreme weather to another.
We were literally sweating when we got home!

Such a fun time with the Taylor fam!
Can't wait to post more pics!
