Happy Valentine's Day

Date: Feb 14th

To my delight (and the kids' dismay) we did our annual

Valentine Portraits!

This is all I wanted for Valentine's this year.

A picture of all my little cuties!
And as usual it didn't come without whining, tears and scowls.
But hey I won in the end! lol :)

 

 

And then Ryan and I decided to jump in a few pics too.

We literally ran back inside for 5 minutes

and changed our clothes to look somewhat presentable.

Ok now we have proof we were there too! :)

 

Oh how I love these four munchkins!

Now for a dose of reality...

I may have picked the wrong time for these pics.

I had warned/prepped the kids for a few days that we were doing pictures

on Saturday at 5pm.

Well they had sleepovers on Friday night

Then Saturday we were at 

2 football games for Anden and then 1 soccer game for Taylee.

This lasted from 8am to 3pm.

They were tired, hungry, sunburnt, sweaty and grouchy!

So when I gleefully said OK time to get ready for pictures...

let's just say if looks could kill, I would be dead.

So I compromised with no showers or hair curling.

Oddly Laiklyn was the most cooperative!!

Now you really know Hell has Frozen Over! lol

Speaking of her highness,

you know that cute picture of her laying on the bench?

Well this is actually what is was...

I had asked the big kids to move the bench out of the way.

Laiklyn jumped on and wouldn't get off!!

So I rolled with it!

(uh we don't have enough backyard toys do we?!)

Anden & Taylee finally gave up and laid down too!

That was my sign to call it quits! ;)
