Sonoma/Napa Valley Trip - Part 3

Date: Sept 16th

Today is RACE DAY!
We once again loaded our bus and headed on over to the race track.
I had no idea what kind of VIP treatment we were in for!!
Our bus took us all the way past the main entrance up the hill to the VIP tents.
Yes we were in the Andretti tent.
Yes chilling with Mario and his family!

Overlooking the raceway from the booth

They had multiple golf carts that would run us down to the main grandstand and events down there.

We had to stop and visit the Alarm.com car!
C'mon that's the whole reason we're here now! lol

Walking Pit Row
(of course all I could think of was Lightning McQueen! lol)

Mario's car getting all prepped and ready

Ryan's team working on his car too

Yes we did put on their sweaty helmets! lol

They had kids section.
Mel and I decided we could fit into the mini car with the other kids! lol

Getting out of the mini car was another story! lol

MC Hammer was the Grand Marshall.
So of course we got to meet him also!

Then we caught a shuttle back up to our tent for a fancy catered lunch
and to watch the big race!!

The F15 Preshow

And they're off!!!

We watched from our cushy tent for more than half of the race.
Then we decided to take a shuttle down to the Grandstand and see the view from there.

We were rooting for #28 and #98!!

The final lap!
Ryan Hunter-Raey wins!!

We immediately wiggled our way down to Pit Row for the celebration!

And then snuck into Winner's Circle!!
Yes that's Hunter-Raey's wife in the off the shoulder dress in front of us.
She was up in our tent for most of the race.

About this time we get the calls that the bus is loaded and waiting for us!!
Uhhh we're celebrating with all the who's who's...you'll just have to wait for us! haha
So we bolted out of there and hoofed it up the hill to get to the busses.
Such a fun time of all new experiences!!!

Once we got back to the hotel they had a dinner reception out in the courtyard waiting for us.
As if we haven't already eaten our weight in free food all day!

Then it was back to the room to pack and head to bed.
Our driver would be there at 5am to shuttle us the 2 hours back to San Francisco
to catch our flight!!

I'm so grateful for the chance we had to go on this way cool trip!
And mostly for my hubby for busting his butt day in and day out to provide for our family.
He's shattered every single sales record this company has previously had!
He's been the top sales rep since his 2nd month with them.
I'm so proud of all his hard work and dedication to everything he does.
That's the only reason we even got invited on this trip.
So good job babe!!
The hard work really does pay off.
Sales isn't for wimps! ;)
