So this is what happens when you're rushing to get everyone ready for church at 9am.
Yep,
I had all of us dressed and ready to go.
I ran back into my room to get my teaching bag.
Out of the corner of my eye,
I saw acrobats flying across the room.
And while I turned to see which one was cartwheeling off the couch,
I ran right into this bad boy.
Now oddly I have a high pain tolerance.
But this one laid me out flat on my back
rolling back and forth
moaning in complete pain and agony.
The kids rushed to my aid.
I bit my lip not to cry in front of them.
Anden grabbed me an ice pack.
Taylee patted my head.
I laid there completely defeated
and wondered if I could just give up for the day.
But I picked myself off the floor.
And we marched hobbled off to church.
I thought God would be pleased that I was trying to honor him
by getting all of us to church on time.
But instead maybe he was telling me to slow down.
Literally.
Like
I'll break your toe
if you don't slow down.
I'll put you flat on your back.
So for the next 4 wks I'll be hobbling along.
Painfully.
Slowly.
With my kids stepping on the injured toe
at least twice a day.
