Sunday was the big day.
St. Patrick's Day!
And yes that means my Birthday as well!
I'm not so big on my birthdays anymore so luckily I can mix in a fun
holiday for others as well to deflect from my aging! lol

holiday for others as well to deflect from my aging! lol
We woke up to find
Lucky the Leprechaun
had hit our house with all sorts of tricks!
Green footprints everywhere,
Green toilet water,
chairs upside down,
pictures upside down,
silly faces on pictures,
bikes/scooters in house upside down,
bananas on plants,
and fruit loop rainbows
leading to the pot of gold!
Before we searched for the pots of gold,
the kids voted to do Mommy's b'day present time first!
To my surprise,
Ryan and the kids had secretly collaborated to make me feel so special!
Then we switched right back into Leprechaun Hunting mode!
Next up: Following the rainbow fruit loop clues to find their pots of gold!
(ya that was an impromptu game I quickly implemented to make the fun last longer! lol)

Inside each bucket was their own rainbow with gold and green toys!
(I made these for the kids' teachers this year too! Such a hit!)
The kids helped Ryan with his super hard clues.
Find a real Clover!
Then it was time for a festive breakfast!
Green Pancakes
and of course Lucky Charms!
I asked Taylee to get the milk out of the fridge.
She screamed with delight when she realized Lucky had turned it green too! lol
We moved the party to the patio
and enjoyed our Magically Delicious Meal!
We couldn't stop laughing when Taylee was so proud of herself and yells
"Look at my smile guys!!"
Normally I wouldn't allow smearing bacon on your face.
But hey at least it's turkey bacon!
Anden couldn't resist as well.
We barely had breakfast cleaned up
before Anden was begging to play
Shamrock Bingo!
We used our "gold" in our pots as the place holders!

(I love crafty blogs with free downloads such as this game!)
By the time Shamrock Bingo was over, it was only 8:30am!!
This week for church was Stake Conference.
So we made an "unselfish" decision to skip church
in order to remove our chaos
and thus help others feel the reverent spirit!
lol I know we're so thoughtful huh!
So that meant an entire day of no obligations and just family time!
Woohoo!
Happy Birthday to me!
So we walked over to the park for some play time.
Anden came running over proudly displaying
the bouquet of "flowers" he had picked for me for my birthday!
Thanks buddy!
We were already getting hot so we headed back home.
Then came the decision as to what activity to do next.
Normally we're pretty low key on Sundays.
We go to church and hang out around home.
But I figured this day was an exception.
It's not often your birthday is on a weekend
and you don't have church or any commitments.
So we made the most of it and headed out swimming!
We were at the resort about 5 minutes when we took this picture.
Clearly the kids were already off to the slide! lol
We had SO much fun!
The kids mauled Ryan in the pool all afternoon
while I sat back and relaxed in the warm sun! lol
What a great b'day afternoon!
Reluctantly we loaded up and hit the road.
Oh but the day was far from over.
We decided to have an early dinner.
We were wiped out!
Especially the kids!
The most hyper one didn't quite make it all the way home!
So we had a chill evening at home
watching Wreck It Ralph and eating bday cake!
We had such a fabulous day from beginning to end!
It was definitely one of the most fulfilling birthdays ever!
I was humbled with all the love I received from so many friends and family.
Thank you to all of you that made me feel so special!
I truly am blessed!
