This post is long overdue!!
It's been a whirlwind since our little California
Wedding and Honeymoon trip!
But alas,
here it is!!
On Thursday 11/21 we loaded up and headed off to California.
It's one thing to pack for a weekend trip for a family.
It's another thing to pack for a wedding also!
Portable wedding here we come! lol
And it's a third thing to pack for a wedding/trip when another family lives with you!
We really like to stack the odds against us! :)
Needless to say I had to be overly organized with this one.
Because it's not like I could run back home if I forgot something.
So I checked and re-checked my 5 page spreadsheet
and we confidently set off!
We promised the kids we would get there faster if they gave in and fell asleep!
It worked!
There was an abnormal HUGE rain cell that overtook the entire West that weekend.
We literally drove in pouring rain the entire 6 hours.
And at the same time it was completely wrecking havoc on our family's flights.
Poor Dad, Anita and Grandma Norma could have driven to San Diego from Idaho
in the same amount of time it took to fly there that day! :(
Needless to say we all arrived at 11pm to the beach house.
Except we left at 6pm.
They left at 6am.
I felt so bad!
I guess they really do love us?
When in reality it's just that they weren't allowed to get off the plane
(and run home)
that circled and circled for hours before landing!! lol
We eventually all crashed.
Huge day tomorrow to do the last minute wedding preparations!!
Nerves? Not at all.
Ok maybe a little! ;-)
