Location: Oceanside, CA
We woke up to an abnormally chilly southern California day.
Of course because we were planning an outdoor beach wedding tomorrow!
Not sure who took this one.
But can some girls get some sleep around here?!
Anden immediately ventured outside to check out where we were.
Since it was pitch dark when we arrived.
Brrrrr!!
Good thing at the last minute I packed winter clothes along with summer clothes for everyone!
The next few hours were a total rainy stressful blur!!
The clouds rolled in and it started raining and raining.
We still had a million errands to run
in the rain.
Get marriage license - check
Get food - check
Get flowers - check
Drop off decorations to venue - check
Design venue layout - check
Finalize Music/Sound Check - check
Rent last minute umbrellas - check
Rent last minute tents - check
By the time we got back to the beach house,
the Gravens were there!
We were so excited and relieved to see they made it ok.
Everyone else were texting us with travel nightmare stories due to the weather!
We had people arriving from all over at every time possible.
Hope they still love us! lol
Eventually the rain stopped,
Aaron and Anden braved the cold ocean!
We all know I'm a planner and a bit of a perfectionist.
Ok maybe more than a bit.
So I like to have everything done perfectly in advance.
But I quickly had to accept with this event there were several things that
I simply couldn't do before I got there.
So I did my best to finish tasks I could
and then plan enough time for those that had to be done there.
Luckily I released my grip on the details and employed my family to help!
It was actually fun to get them involved.
Since they had been asking all day how they could help! lol
I had Lynds help me finish my bouquet
Ok and Ryan was our prop holder too!
Then I had Dad, Anita, Grandma, Kyrrigan, Anden, Taylee & Lyndsay
help me assemble the favors.
Again this was a food item that couldn't be packaged in advance.
So I had carefully brought all the supplies to do it here!
Our time management was perfect.
We finished in time to have family and friends over to hang out that night!
The kids were in heaven to see their long lost "siblings" made it.
It had been a whole day since they had been apart! lol
Eventually everyone headed back to their hotels.
And we lounged the rest of the night.
Ok they did. Not me.
I frantically reviewed my spreadsheet for any last detail that might have been missed!
Then Luke and Mel arrived as well!
So we all chatted then crashed in bed.
HUGE day tomorrow!!!!
Nerves now?
HECK YA!! :)
