So I've been known to get a wild decor idea every so often
(or more like once a month!)
that I just can't shake until I implement the idea!
I call it Decorator A.D.D. :)
Ryan's not necessarily a fan of my nonstop projects.
(ok so he hates them!)
But after some begging, bribing and maybe coercing
he eventually gives in and helps my crazy ideas become reality!
The latest project is installing a
wood planked wall in the family room!
There are tons of different ways to achieve the same look.
So I decided on the simplest method!
It all started with sheets of pine plywood
that I had cut into strips
and then cut those into random lengths.
After that it was a trusty nail gun!
(apologies for grainy phone pics!)
I then stained the wood with gray stain.
I wasn't sure if I was going to leave it this color or whitewash it afterwards.
While we were at it,
Ryan decided to finish one of the projects on his "want list".
So he hung up the TV and rewired everything
so it's crisp and clean without 400 cables everywhere!
At this point we decided to stop and "live" with it a few days to see
if I was content with the color.
And then life took over and it still looks the same.
So I guess I'm leaving it alone and calling it done! :)
Now to find new furniture for that wall
or revamp what I have!
It's never ending folks!
