Way back in September when we went to California
to visit Jordan and Bree
we took some family pics!
These were the ones that I had a grand plan to do on the beach with an ocean backdrop
but immediately realized that would be a disaster with busy body Laiklyn.
So we took them in Jordan's backyard instead!
I took the individual pics and kids pics.
Then Jordan snapped away for the fam pic.
15 mins later we were done!
As always I'm shocked I got some great pics
out of the photo shoot madness and bad attitudes! lol
We used a few in our Christmas Card

I guess I better appreciate the good after seeing the bad! lol
And then it was my turn to get in front of the camera.
I quickly learned it's harder than it looks to pose correctly.
Especially with my husband behind the lens pretending to be me and mocking my threats
"C'mon Katie you better cooperate or I'm not taking you to beach!"
Yes it's always miraculous we even get one good pic let alone a whole bunch!!
Well as soon as we got home from California I completely revamped our gallery wall.
Laiklyn was finally getting included! ;)
I have 2 story walls and knew I needed something much more massive to fill the space
than what was currently there.
I had found a bunch of 11x14 frames awhile back and knew those would be perfect!
So the frames sat upstairs and waited until we finally took family pics!
Then the new gallery wall was installed!
And it's a beast.
I'm the height of the bottom row of pics!
Which meant yes we needed a huge ladder to hang these suckers up!
I only found dark phone pics but you get the idea...

I just LOVE all the new pics and find myself glancing at them often.
Laiklyn does too!
She constantly points and yells "Tay Tay"!
But then I also quickly realized that my normal sized console table
now looks like a miniature barbie doll table.
Guess it's time to do some furniture shopping! lol
