Taylee officially joined the Anthem Club Soccer team in January!
She patiently waited through the fall sports season
for her moment to shine!
This is a new adventure for us to depart from good 'ole Anthem Rec Leagues.
But she's ready for the next level!
After only a week of practices with the team
(it's rained most of January and cancelled all sports!)
she had her first invitational tournament!
She did awesome despite not knowing all the positioning and
technique that the other girls knew.
Her team was divided into 2 teams for the tourney since it was a 4x4 format.
So she was the green team.
She's #16.
Their first game was Saturday night.

The sun set as the game started
and made the most brilliantly gorgeous backdrop!
It had been overcast and a little rainy all day.
We were worried we would freeze or get sprinkled on.
But instead we got reminded why we absolutely love Arizona!
We pounded the other team 9-2!
The girls definitely got their nerves out quick and dominated the game.
Then we raced back home to watch the Cardinals playoff game.
We had friends over to watch it with us
and together we cheered and panicked then cheered again!
Then next morning Taylee and I were back out to the soccer fields.
Normally she wouldn't play in the Sunday games.
But we were leaving to go out of town as soon as they were over
and would be missing church anyway.
So I figured what the heck she can play!
Her first game was at 9am.
It was definitely chilly!!
The did awesome again and won 2-1.
Taylee scored a goal in the first few minutes and was ecstatic!!
She so badly wanted to score!
Phew she got that taken care of first thing!
We had an hour break and quick change of uniforms and were back out for our 3rd game.
They won again! 3-1
After the last game they do this cute thing
where they come up to the parent sideline
and yell "Thank you parents!" before heading off the field
I guess it's a good thing to show their appreciation
since the rest of your siblings are no longer eating
in order for us to pay for this league! lol
