MacDonald Ranch

Date: Oct 17th

Every October we take a trip to 

MacDonald Ranch.

Well I had bought our passes in September

and somehow couldn't find a day to go

that we didn't have sports or some other event.

Time was ticking down until this baby would be born!!

So finally I said ok everyone's missing their sports on Monday night

and we're going right after school!

The kids talked me into pulling them out of school a bit early too.

So I did just that and we headed off to the farm

for our annual fall festive event!

(Yes hard to say fall when it was mid 90s and we were hot as can be!)

Laiklyn loved her free reign to just run and play this year!

And luckily Anden and Taylee still love the games/events there too!

Giant Connect Four
(yes Ryan quickly realized I'm a Connect Four Master lol)

Laiklyn became a pro at gathering all the bean bags for us!

They all loved good ole fashioned gold panning!

(yes by now I have no idea how the big kids haven't figured out it's spray painted rocks! lol)

Next up...Petting Zoo!

Laiklyn was all excited until she realized the animals were no longer behind a fence

and could actually touch her!

lol I felt her pain and fear!

Finally she warmed up to the cute baby goats.

Those goat should have been WAY more scared of her.

Not quite the cute pink piggies she thought they would be!

She looked at me all confused "Mommy ewwh brown piggie!" haha

Taylee wasn't impressed with the stinky brown pigs either! lol

This baby goat wanted to pet Laiklyn instead.

She wasn't having it! haha

And my fave part of the petting zoo! lol

And yes a very competitive intense game broke out with our family!

This girl just has a mind of her own and you can't change it!!
She was playing with the pumpkins and did NOT want her picture taken like the big kids.
We've learned to just force ourselves to laugh
about how many screaming pictures we have of her.

Then the wagon ride back.

Anden took over camera duties.

Looks like I should have Anden start taking Laiklyn's pics instead of me!

Much more cooperative! lol

The kids wanted to go back and pan for gold again before we headed home.

And on that high pitched screaming note we headed on out of there.

At least 2/3 of the kids had a great time! ;)

We then had a combo of Chipotle and Pei Wei for dinner

and topped it off with Froyo for dessert.

What a fun little family outing

even if we had to miss 2 sporting events to do it!
