Happy Thanksgiving!!!
I got up early and started prepping all the food for the big shindig!
Then I made everyone breakfast and we lounged a bit.
After that we kicked off our day off with a little competitive football action!
Turkey Bowl 2018
Then it was back home
(literally limping...we're apparently older than we think! haha)
to get the turkey out of the brine and into the oven!!
We dumped the littles into naps
and spent the next couple hours finishing up the final touches!

At 2:30pm everyone started arriving and we began the feast an hour later!
Then it was back home

Then a quick snack lunch.
We wanted to save our big appetites for later!
and spent the next couple hours finishing up the final touches!

At 2:30pm everyone started arriving and we began the feast an hour later!
This year I learned from the past to take the group pic very first!!
That way we're all cleaned, clothed and willing to participate so we can EAT! lol

Then we went around the circle saying what we were thankful for.
Followed by a Thanksgiving Prayer on the meal.
And boom it was off to the food line!
I think I had barely sat down to eat
by the time everyone else was done!!
So while the kids moved on to playing,
I devoured my hard earned work! :)
The second competitive Turkey Bowl game started!
This time a different "futbol"!
The little and Grammie had a blast on the swings/trampoline!
They all played and played outside until it was dark!
Then slowly we made our way back inside for pies!
The 4 Little Turkeys!
When the littlest turkeys started lugging around their blankeys,
you knew it had been a long fun exhausting day!!
Eventually everyone but the Gravens left.
Then the mass clean up began!
Maybe next year I'll actually sit down and relax like a normal person on Thanksgiving?! ;)
