Wednesday morning Anden left on a 6th grade trip to
Camp Surf
in San Diego, California!!
Well it can hardly be considered morning.
More like the middle of the night.
We had to drop off the kids at the school at 3:30am!!
That's the only time you'll see that much traffic in Anthem at that crazy hour! lol
The night before they had luggage drop off at the school
and got their chaperone, groups, bus and cabin assignments.
Anden was stoked that he got ALL his fave buddies on his bus and group,
well except for poor Kallin.
His friend that we had taken to luggage drop off and then also spent the night with us.
But they still hung out a lot there!
So I woke up the boys at the before the crack of dawn and we drove the one block to school!
Aww Anden's first overnight camp!
I wasn't able to go as a chaperone...well c'mon let's be real I didn't really sign up to be one! lol
But I felt SO lucky that I have the coolest Mom friends in Anthem that are
always looking out for my kids and sending me pics whenever I can't be there with them.
I had 6 different people sending me pics over the next 3 days!
Awww so grateful for good friends!!
I felt part of everything as it was happening and LOVED receiving pics throughout each day!

since he was gone long before they woke up!
Luckily we caught him right when they were unloading the bus
and starting orientation!

I guess after everyone buried Anden the crabs deep in the sand
started pinching his toes right when the chaperones were taking his picture!
So he was trying to smile but say "OW OW OUCH!" and nothing he could do about it! LOL
May 3rd
The busses rolled back into the school about 9:30pm on Friday night.
The kids were exhausted, the chaperones even more exhausted!!
But everyone had a complete blast!!
Anden talked my ear off for like 2 hours straight telling me all about it.
Awww I love that he had such a great experience! :)
