Anden decided to go back to Flag Football during the off season
of tackle football.
He wasn't thrilled at first about playing Flag again.
But then his buddies asked him to be on their new team
and that's just the spark he needed to jump right back in!!
He's now Team Buffalo Bills!
It was a different season for him as this team is VERY good.
No more Anden is the only star of both offense and defense!
But that was so good for him to really push himself and learn from his teammates.
They had a very successful regular season and only lost 2 games.
So when the tournament rolled around they were seeded really well!
I finally remembered to take some pictures at the tournament!
We had a bye for our first game
and then needed to win 2 games to get to the championship!
We knew we were in good shape to win the first game.
But the second team was undefeated.
That was going to be a tough game!
These boys came out firing!!
They played so well!
We breezed through the first game.
Then we crushed the undefeated team!!
(Anden is the blonde...with the french braided hair! lol)
That was the boost we needed going into the championship
against the only other undefeated team, which was last season's champions.
Coach sent the entire team out as captains for the coin flip!
I loved seeing that!!
And then the game began!
It was neck and neck the whole first half.
We were giving that team some competition!
Then in the second half the other team broke away
and scored a couple more touchdowns on us.
We ended up losing...but to a super talented team.
So we were happy as can be with a 2nd place finish!!

I told Anden maybe next year they could use this huge football! lol
I loved that the boys were still so proud of themselves despite not winning it all.
They kicked butt this season and especially today in the tournament!

That night was the team pool party at Coach Duffy's house.
Such a fun group of kids and parents!
Then right back to swimming!
How many boys can you fit in one outdoor shower?! lol
