Well off we headed on another Idaho trip! But first that means we had to make it to Vegas in order to catch our flight. We loaded up the kids and drove to Lyndsay's on Thursday night. We decided to stop and get dinner at Domino's Pizza on our way out. After we finally got the pizza and cinna stix, we were officially on the road! We made it a 1/2 mile down the freeway before Anden claimed he had to pee. I'm still nervous about an accident in the car. So I forced Jer to pull over that very second. There they stood on the side of the road while Anden relieved himself on a cactus.
We were definitely off to a slow start. After we got everyone buckled back up, we continued our gourmet dinner. The dessert was definitely the best part. It was the first time we had ordered cinna stix. Jer and I had eaten 90% when I moved away a napkin and happened to notice a container of delicious unopened icing! WHAT?! We just looked at each other like we found the fountain of youth one minute after we had just died! Jer was way too sugared out to eat another one. I, on the other hand, couldn't allow such sweetness to go to waste. So I ate the last piece smothered in an entire container of icing. Absolute heaven! Little did I know I would pay for that splurge the rest of the 4 hour drive with an intense case of sugar belly sickness.
After I had already read the kids 4 books, sang 2 songs and played I Spy, I glanced at the clock. We were only an hour into the trip! This was going to be a long drive! So I broke out the DVD player and off they zoned. Too bad little Taylee was peeved that she faced the back of the truck and thus was bored to death! Anden held out til about 10pm before he crashed asleep. We finally made it to Vegas about 11pm, threw the kids into bed and crashed.
