Friday - 6/1/12
With total excitement, we hit the road at noon!
Most of the family was already on the road or there!
We were beyond giddy to see everyone!
10 minutes into the drive Taylee began asking if we were there yet!
Anden was contently sucked into the iPod.
Another 10 minutes later I caught Taylee trying to sneak out of her carseat.
Maybe this isn't going to be an easy 4 hr drive after all?!
We stopped in Wickenburg for lunch.
It always makes my day when you order a salad
and drive away before you realize they gave you a knife to eat it with.
So I handicapped chopstick style shoveled it in.
Anden didn't make a peep due to his video game addiction.
Taylee, on the other hand, was her usual busy self.
And turned herself into a human taco.
At hour 3,
I began the "motivational speech"
that if we didn't take naps we weren't staying up late with cousins.
It worked!
And I had an hour of peace until we arrived.
We made perfect timing and pulled into the hotel at exactly the same time as
Dad & Anita.
And to my surprise,
my adorable Grandma Norma came along for the trip too!!
Luke, Mel, Brylee & Jeslynn were already there.
So we took 30 seconds to unload and race to the pool!
Then Lyndsay, Aaron, Baby K, Mom & Brooke showed up
to kick the party up a notch!
We finally were able to drag the fishies out of the water
for a poolside pizza party dinner!
Aunt Brookie stole some snuggling time with Baby K
While the boys looked up funny videos
We hung at the pool all afternoon and night!
So relaxing and fun!
And we only had 3 near drownings from kids that forget their floaties weren't on!

Then we finally called it quits and drug the kids out of the pool
and into bed for the night.
We needed to recharge for tomorrow!
