Location: Island Park, Blackfoot
We had great intentions of going to church today.
Yes we even packed church clothes.
But then we found out church was at 8am.
We quickly nixed that idea and slept in instead!
Some of us didn't sleep well as we had nightmares about Mutant Squirrels.
We casually woke up and zoned into cartoons.
Anden has the BEST bed head ever.
Then Anden took over the photographer skills
The girls all loved playing with Kyrrigan
Taylee always taking it one step too far lol
I'm not sure Kyrrigan loved playing with them so much! lol

We finally got ready and headed outside!
The kids just wanted to tube all day!
Anden & Brylee were tube professionals!
They would sit back there and just chant
"FASTER! FASTER!"

Fast enough guys?? lol
Then Ryan and Luke took their turn with the kids
Next up Ryan, Taylee, Anden
(ya I don't think Anden got out of the tube all day!)
Oddly Taylee wanted to come in after that run.
While Anden is motioning for one more loop!
Hhmm where are Jazzie & Taylee??
Trick Tubing
Sadly the cabin stay had to come to end.
We headed back into the cabin and did the usual packing and cleaning
before wishing one of our very fave spots goodbye until next time!
Then we made the 2 hour trek back to dad's house.
The new swing set awaited our return!
Then the hose came out.
Of course Taylee was the first to volunteer to test out if it was dangerous!
Even Kyrrigan got into the fun!
We were too hot to go get swimsuits.
So water slides in clothes it was!
Finally Luke and the girls had to head home.
But our fun at Papa Nolie's "farm" was far from over!
We had to head to the fields to check on the irrigation.
And to remove a cow that got stuck in the train tracks and hit.
(yes i know normal everyday occurrence huh!)
Anden found a dandelion the size of his head to scatter into the wind.
Papa Nolie threatened him that it better not land in his perfect grass! lol
Watching Papa Nolie carrying Taylee while having a heart to heart moment together
absolutely melted my own heart.
When they caught up to me Taylee excitedly shouted,
"MOMMY! Papa Nolie showed me all the spots where the cow got hit by the train!
It's hair is still stuck to the tracks!!"
Heart melting moment now cancelled.
Back to touring the fields
Aaron remembered where the snake hid last year.
And by golly there he found it again!
Skipping rocks
Taylee preferred just throwing her rocks in the good 'ole fashioned way!
Now to check on the garden
Moving on to the horses!
And no barnyard tour is complete without visiting the farm equipment graveyard!
We were melting from the intense sunshine by then.
So we headed back to the swingset to play!
The record breaking temps (literally) in Blackfoot were gruesome
because most homes don't have A/C to escape to!
Needless to say the upstairs, where my bedroom is, was a sauna after
being locked up for 5 days while we were in Island Park!
The swing set was definitely a HIT!
Great purchase Papa Nolie!
We played outside all evening.
Heck it was cooler than inside the house!
Well except the lucky folk with bedrooms in the basement...hhmm Lynds! lol
