Idaho Vacation - July 1

Date:  Monday July 1. 2013
Location: Blackfoot, ID

While we were snoozing away last night,
Justin, Lacie and their kids arrived at Papa Nolie's!
They were on their way home from Boise to Utah.
So it was perfect timing to stop and play with us!
We couldn't have been more excited!!
Anden especially had patiently waited for his time to finally play with BOY cousins!

Lacie and I have always had such a special cousin bond.
I love her to death and was so giddy to finally see her!

So Dad did the best farm activity
and flooded the lawn.
The kids (and adults) all had a blast!

The Girls!

The Boys!

They played and played in that dirty ditch water with floating grass & other specimens! ;-)

We played water baseball

We chatted & laughed

We had water relay races

And finally the much anticipated event,
Mud Kneeboarding!

Which of course turned into
Mud Body Surfing!

Finally even Lexie and I took a turn!
I was praying the whole time we didn't tip over into that mess!

Taylee wanted one last turn.
She started normal and then I noticed she was posing while still riding.
Lol she's such a girl!

You can't get much more redneck than this!
They had a total blast!
But I'm sure Papa Nolie's lawn is still dirty and smashed! Oopsie!

After we hosed everyone off,
the kids kept playing outside while
Lacie and I went for a special little trip with Grandma Norma.

She's our cute Grandma that is 90 years old
but doesn't miss a beat.
We completely cherished our alone time with her!
I'm humbled to be her granddaughter.

Upon our return,
Lacie and her crew went over to visit her other grandparents
while we got ready and headed to Idaho Falls to see the rest of my family!

The kids mauled every inch of the new swingset!
They performed a group circus routine for us.
And attempted to take a group bow afterwards...

In the midst of a frisbee game,
Kyrrigan was perfectly contact to chill in her little chair
while attempting to buckle herself in!

Rescuing the frisbee!

Popsicle Time

Mom always has something fun for the kids up her sleeve.
Even the neighbor kids magically appeared to play.

Bubble Time

Freeze Tag!
(I'm sure nobody will find Anden hiding behind that twig tree!)

As we were winding down,
Uncle Lukey got out the leaf blower to do a bit of cleaning.
Anden excitedly yelled "Blow it at me!"

Sorry Son but we about all died laughing at your face!
I let that last for 1 minute before I hollered to shut it off
out of fear that my gorgeous boy would be permanently disfigured lol

Then Jazzy snuck my camera and took over!

Then Jazzy disappeared downstairs with my camera.

I laughed at this one.
This is a houseful of girls (and Uncle Lukey)
yet the play room was equally as full of sports equipment and toy guns!
I guess Uncle Lukey does have some influence here amongst the estrogen!

Not sure what the Three Stooges were doing.
But I'll bet they are analyzing a "How to Catch a Fish" movie.

It's not a family gathering without a little friendly competitive Xbox action

Then it was back outside we went
I simply wanted a group pic.
Obviously it was too hard of a request!

It was getting late and the kids were getting tired.
I told them it was time to go.
They begged to stay longer.
I knew an accident was going to happen soon if we didn't head home.
I was right.
Taylee's last attempt at the monkey bars resulted in a face plant to the ground below.
Bloody fat lip and tears ensued.

Oddly it wasn't Jazzy or Noah that got hurt.
Because sword fights on top of monkey bars are totally normal! ;-)

I did some Mommy magic along with an ice pack.
Then Taylee was fixed and back in action!

Such a super fun filled day!
The kids definitely crashed asleep on the drive back to Papa Nolie's!
