The Party!
After the girls arrived we got dolled up as Hula Girls.
Then we played a few games.
Hot Coconut
Down to 2 girls!
And Taylee won!
I swear I wasn't rigging the game for her! lol
There was delay when I hit pause for the music to stop.
Somehow she always managed to get that hot coconut out of her hand before then!
Next up:
Limbo!
The girls were definitely creative on how they got under that limbo stick! lol
Next:
Hula Dancing
I was the instructor.
And yes that means I made up dance moves on the fly.
The girls were so into it and looked so adorable!
Kyrrigan just danced with her shoes during the lesson! lol
Once we perfected our dance,
we performed it for the parents watching from the patio!
They did so well!
I was proud of my little hula students!
By then we were already sweating from this dang AZ heat!
So they ripped off their cutesy outfits
and cooled down on the water slide!
One by one they shot out the exit
and raced back around for more fun!
Cutey Kyrrigan played (or drank) with the water table instead of the wild kids!
We finally took a break for present time!
Then the pizza arrived and we had our luau lunch!
Then it was back to the water slide!
We eventually drug them off again for cupcakes!
Happy Birthday my spunky adorable little Hula Girl!!
We all LOVE you SO VERY MUCH!!
And to keep it real...
This party was one of my most stressful ever.
Not because of the preparation,
or the hosting,
or the girls,
or even the party itself.
But because of my dear sweet eldest child
that has a hard time when the day isn't about him.
Needless to say I was Party Host/Disciplinarian for the entire event!
He rotated between breaking the rules, tormenting the girls and sitting in timeout.
He even had a partner in crime to help him.
Good thing these boys are so cute!!
It literally saves their lives! ;-)
At one point they were temporarily banished from the slide (again)
and told to sit on the side of the house.
I went back to get them to give them one more chance to behave on the slide.
Noah was sitting innocently where I placed them.
Anden wasn't.
Apparently he found his own water entertainment instead.
He flashed me that adorable grin and off he ran to cause more havoc.
I guess you just have to find a way to laugh through those stressful moments.
The party went on regardless and everyone had a great time!!
